    Has anyone seen the 1970's animated movie the fantastic planet??? I just bought it at a warehouse for a dollar.

    its a classic. the soundtrack is awesome. psychedellic aliens keeping humasn as pets. cool stuff. pity the ending is rather lame, the first half of the movie is the best. be fantastic!

    I agree the ending was dissapointing...good to know someone else has seen it.

    lol i rember that movie i couldnt stop laughing when that massive blue finger came down and knocked the woman..... that was so rad

    but after awhile it tripped me out big time but still a classic

    Wow, someone else knows about this movie!

    First time I watched it I was tripping on acid and well, you can imagine how that went!

    Beautiful movie, hotwater you would love it nevermind the quality of the animation. :)

    It's one of the best animated films from the 70's.... right next to Wizards and The Lord of the Rings, both by Ralph Bakshi... and The Hobbit

    Fantastic planet, was quite nice film. With it's own unique, subject. It was really great film with, nice animations... Sound and music was something soo whooaoh... I think, that you can even watch it without any speaking by the "actors" you would get the film still.

    Maybe one of the best, animations what i have ever seen...

    The animation is truly beautiful, and it makes some good comments on human society, attitudes towards the use of spiritual hallucinogenics etc. Love it!

    Yes, one of the tripper films ever made. It's a classic now and scenes occasionally appear in my mind when I see something here on earth that reminds me of that movie.

    I have it on VHS somewhere. It was shown on TV years ago on that late night, Night Flight series on USA network.

    I really miss that show.
