ive been dreading for two months now (natural o'course) and my hair is pretty damn curly so theyre staring to knot up quite nicely. but i woke up this morning and my hair as twice as short as it was the night before- no joke so ive been pulling them out a bit and getting some of the loopys out -but i was wondering if theres anything to either make hair grow faster (someone recomended wheat germ?) or to stop them from shrinking quite so much? ideas?
Shrinking is part of locking. Lots of things in your diet can make your hair healthier, as far as faster growth... I dunno.
leyts see some pics your hairs gorgouse by the way it will shringk to about 1/3 the lengtyh but the good news is from there it only grows u never trim so itgrows faster normasly u trim 1/4 inch or so every few months that sets u back in growth by a few inches a year
I have the same situation I have realy curly hair and it shrunk after the first month but now I can see it really growing it will happen it just a patience thing which I have very little so I am learning to get it inch by inch
it seems the longer hair you start with, the more it shrinks. it's all just part of the process, embrace it....it means it's locking up. it will gain more length eventually.
my hair shrunk a lot when I dreaded my hair, it is still shrinking now nad its almost 9 months now, m guessing proteins are good for hair growth, but i could be wrong
So you're saying you completely wasted two months? Why would you get rid of your loops? I thought you wanted dreads.
its not like i destroyed my dreads. i wouldnt waste two months, im just getting them to form straighter. ill post pics as soon as i can find a camera somewhere!
arlia, you're hair is still shrinking at 9 months into you're "DreadVenture".. Do you have alot of congo action going on? Or are you're dreads just thickning up alot?
