It's Wes Craven's debut movie. It is a little out dated (1972). But it is really good. The last 20 minutes, is a gore fest. But the ending is really good. The whole story in general is good. You should rent it. But keep in mind it was made in 1972.

I watch a lot of scary movies... I mean A LOT, so it takes more than your average scary flick to get a rise out of me... The Sixth Sense gave me the willies, as did Rose Red. Now don't get me wrong, Rose Red is not "scary"... it just kinda gets under your skin. As for the Sixth Sense... definitely stayed in my head LONG after viewing.

It's a really good film, one of my favorites. It will definetly teach you not to trust people on the streets.

The People Under the Stairs. It wasn't as scary as it was creepy.

Maximum Overdrive. Stephen King's finest. If a soda machine can kill kids, I'm frightened.

What Lies Beneath was good, as was Signs. The Ring scared me until I realized there were too many plot holes and it was kinda lame.

Yeah, the whole movie is more funny than frightening. I highly recommend it if you like ridiculous movies. Basically machines come to life and start killing people. Starring Emilio Estevez.

Probably the scariest movie I've seen is Alien. I saw it for the first time when I was 7 and the power went out right after the movie ended. It was scary as hell.

That's right before a steamroller busts onto the field. You know, the more I think about it, this is a really bad movie.
