Videotaping! is it right to show them off?

Exactly. The video was made in confidence. You should respect that trust. If you're asking, you probably have reason to suspect the other person wouldn't like it, so don't do it.

There have actually been several legal cases recently about ex-partners releasing private videos. The law has upheld the privacy of the person being filmed.

 

Fair to who ? Who is in these videos ? If it is just you then it might not be fair to other people. They might not like you. If I were you I would just hid them and spare the rest of us.

If it is just yourself then do what you want with it...but if there is another person involved then you have to consult that other person first

 

not unless you have the permission of everyone on the vid. you can have a huge impact on people's lives showing that kinda stuff. it's kinda like opening pandora's box. you don't know what the final impact to people will be before you do it. you might think it's never going to get anywhere where it could do any harm...but you might be wrong. remember - most of our society is very prudish & judgemental about sex.
