I'm a new grower. Ive been looking at a number of online seed venders and and come across a strain called Big Bud on most of the sites. It aparently has buds so big the branchs all fall to the ground. I was wondering if anyone has grown this strain of herb.

Yes, I've grown big bud, and yes I've had to prop the limbs up to keep them from sagging!>)

Is it a good strain to cultivate?

A friend grew a crop of sensi seeds big bud once ... i really liked it for it's flavour and one of the most perfectly balanced head/body highs i've ever enjoyed. It's best quality in my opinion. I didn't find it knockout but it was powerful enough. ...perfect really.

I'm aware that Big bud has been around a long time now and in North america, Canada/British Columbia there seem to be a variety of examples of 'Big bud' ...but are they all the same Big bud? And how different is Sensi seeds big bud? I guess the knowing is in the growing but i found sensi seeds description nicely detailed and interesting:

IMHO weight comes with experience and technique. Being a new grower, your main focus should be on finishing a crop.......don't worry about weight....yet. Get a few good crops under your belt and then start focusing on how you can bump your final weight up.

But on topic, can't really help ya here. I've heard lots of people say that big bud is one of their favorites. But i've never personally grown this strain.

man, I've been having this dream that just won't quit about a big bud and either blueberry, sour cherry or strawberry cough cross.

I've gotta be nuts, but I think when I get some room and back into the swing of growing, I'm going to see if I can't get my grubby mitts on some dj short blueberry and some sensi seed BB, and see what kind of genetic freakishness happens.
