I'm doing all the reasearch I can on strains that I may be interested in growing. I may be starting a stealth growop and have come across Dr. Joint lowryder seeds on Seed Boutique and was wonder what kind of nutrients these bad boys need, if auto-flowers are benificial, if the LR's produce a good herd, basicly and over all 411> All insite appreciated!
I wouldn't recommend lowryder ... it's very low yielding (upto 5 grams) and usually only grows from 6 - 10 inches and not very potent. Since lowryder was developed there are other, stronger and higher yielding dwarf autoflowering hybrids available like auto AK47 or Lowryder 2, if plenty of rootspace is given these can produce from 1/2 oz to 1 oz.
That can happen yes but it'll be few plants among many capable, genetically to yield that mutch. Lowryder also has it's 'micro pheno' and alot of plants are quite small. I grew some outdoors in bad soil last year as a novelty really and most yielded about a gram but i'm sure with good indoor conditions and high lighting they'd yield mutch more. The most i ever heard of was about 10 grams.
ive grown some lowryder crosses before (i know becuase they autoflowered) and still use those genetics. however, they produced better than standard lowryders and carried sligtly different traits.
Lowryder plants are ideal for some growers and can produce good yields if done right. Just take proper care and good nutes. You'd be surprised actually, plus they are EASY to grow, so if you're not even good with plants, they still will yield nicely. Also, make sure you try for Lowryder 2, they are much better
This guy posted a thread on this site that said he got 26 grams on one lowryder plant...he used a 600 Watt light so thats why it yeilded so much more. I've grown it personally myself and they didnt get too big, the wattage was very low however, not near 600 Watts. So if you have the right light, it can yield more.
