This was x-posted to the main Love & Sex Forum.

Bear with me on this, I want to get all the details in but I'll try to keep it as short as possible.

    -The Background-

So for the last couple of weeks I've been reconnecting with people from high school that I never really hung out with outside of class. Usually anywhere from five to fifteen of us will meet up at a house and start playing music, drinking, smoking, etc. Well I was excited because one of the best looking girls in the class (we'll call her "Sam") was showing up more and more frequently. I'd had a crush on Sam during junior/senior year, and after hanging out with her a little more it was getting rekindled.
I got her cell phone number, and we hung out a couple of times in a more relaxed setting, cruising with another friend or two, and everything went great. I found out that she works at the new restaurant that opened like a block away from my restaurant, which happens to be like 5 minutes from my house. (And, by my estimates, 20 minutes from her house)

    -The Story-

So work lets out last night and I text a few people to see if they want to smoke a blunt of some new weed I picked up. She's the only one who gives a positive response, saying "I just got out of work at [place], I'll see if I can take the car out when I get home" at 11:30ish. I text her again at 12:30 to see what's up, and she says "I'm leaving the house now, still want me to come?" Of course, I respond with "Yeah come on over", and that's where communication stops. I called her at like 1:30 to see if she was still coming over, and I left some dumb voicemail message or something asking her to call me back. I haven't heard from her since.

So... does it sound like someone's playing hard to get or just trying to shut me up?

She didn't feel like going out, probably tired from work. Meet up with her by chance some time with some friends
