So I've been having a bad dream like this for as long as I can remember. It always starts out and ends the same way, the middle can vary but is usually similar. It always starts off as me being chased by a bear, but it always ends up with me trying to escape it inside a house along with friends/family members into an attic. I always wake up right as it grabs my leg when I'm halfway in. Any ideas on what it could mean? I can remember being a toddler having this dream, I'm 23 now, so when I say lifelong I mean it.

Yeh i have the same thing, i've been having the same dream from when i was 6 and i'm 16 now.
Its just your self conscious reminding of your dream and replaying it.
    Hope i was right.

Or it could be that one day you'll staying in a cabin with friends and you will encounter a bear. What do you do? Learn from your dreams?

The middle is always different... How? Different friends? Different actions to avoid the bear?

Next time don't go to the attic, try something else. Maybe it'll do the trick.

I agree. What would happen if you faced the bear? Instead of running away, walk towards it - or at least stop running. See if you can...

It would probably eat you ... but that need not be such a bad thing. :)

I meet wild animals in my dreams frequently and I always confront them. The situation is then resolved. You can't run away forever.
