I was just thinking about this game that i used to play when i was still a kid. It was the second game in the battlefield series, and you could play this old rock (ccr, rare earth, etc) when you where in a vehicule, i damn loved the music, so i got stuck looking up the titles of those songs, and after a while i began downloading music of those bands, and from one thing came another thing. I find i somehow ironic and just wanted to share the irony Btw, anyone else who thinks battlefield vietnam is definelty the best of the series?
A resounding yes! BFV was so much fun, and very underrated. The maps were great and fighting in the jungle was just plain awesome. I tried to play it again a couple months ago, but had installation trouble and couldn't get online play working. And it did have a great soundtrack.
It was a great game, but it made flying way too hard unless you were in a helicopter, because the maps were so small and you flew so fast. I want to play 2142.
Great soundtrack. steals a couple quotes from movies too. 1. The Letter, The Box Tops 2. Psychotic Reaction, Count Five 3. I Fought the Law, Bobby Fuller Four 4. On the Road Again, Canned Heat 5. Forunate Son, Credence Clearwater Revival 6. Hush, Deep Purple 7. War, Edwin Starr 8. Get Ready, Rare Earth 9. Somebody to Love, Jefferson Airplane 10. All Day And All Of The Night, The Kinks 11. Surfin Bird, The Trashmen 12. Nowhere to Run, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas 13. White Rabbit, Jefferson Airplane 14. Wild Thing, The Troggs 15. The Ride of the Valkyries, Budapest Symphony Orchestra 16. Shakin' All Over, The Guess Who 17. You Really Got Me Going, The Kinks
The first time I played. I jumped into a demolished building and was looking out the window at both teams blowing the shit out of each other. It was cool. But I stayed in the building.
Yea, critics where a bit divided, i guess, when you are a hypocrit you can't enjoy a game like battlefield vietnam, but atleast i enjoyed it, jumping in a helicopter tuning in with some goofy rock and then going wild, yea ^^. The gameplay was much more enjoyfull then all the others of the bf series, i don't know.. i guess i just don't like this hype of war realism, why try to make a game real life realistic when gameplay is the only thing that counts? That's one of the reasons why i never bought cod4, i played all the other cod's but i'm sick and tired of those games.. if people want to fight a real war then they should join the army, but leave us gamers alone, screwing up the gameplay and all that, ffs >.<.
