About a month ago i made a bad choice to go fast... it was a long straight road coming off a slight hill and no other vehicles mixed with a little pier pressure no big deal i am totally confident when driving my car(audi a4) and when speeding you can hardly tell how fast you are going 90mph feels like 65. A car was coming toward me and i began to slow down my V1 radar detector starting going off and i knew i was screwed. When i went by the cop i was going 60mph he was on the side of the road waiting for me and turning around. He came up to window and asked me how fast i was going no do you know why i pulled you over or anything. I said approximately 80mph. He replied with "nows not the time to be playing games with me boiiii" damn redneck cops with a GED. He said he had me for 105 in a 55 and asked why i was going that fast i replied with i have no reason and he kept aksing me until i replied with because i am young and stupid. The entire time it was a normal traffic stop and i was very polite my hands were on the steering wheel in plain sight the whole time. The only reason i agreed to go fast was because I had nothing and neither did my 2 passengers. The tricky part was when he asked me where i was headed i told him i was getting a friend up by the blinking light about 5 miles ahead. He said the place next to the barber shop theres about 10 cars outside whats going on there tonight (tuesday night at 1030 i was still 17). He went to his car came back asked me to step outside the vehicle and searched me. Then he said hands out in front and cuffed me and put me in the back of the car. He called for backup and they began callling judges to arraign me at 11pm talk about a pissed off judge. The judge ended up being sick and he made my friend drive us home. But not before him and his partner made up a story about my drivers license being immediately suspended and that it was only good for a photo ID and that i was to bring it to court and hand it to the judge. The cop never told me what was going on why i was being handcuffed everything happened so fast. Then i was free to go with a reckless driving misdermenor and 40+mph ticket resulting in 16 points in NY state. I went into work and told my boss what happened all the state troopers eat lunch at my work so my boss told me he would talk to him and tell him i was a good kid and so on. Two days later the cop arrived and my boss sat down to talk to him he told my boss that i was very polite but there was nothing he could do(another lie) and he told my boss that the house i was going to was under 24 hour survellience and to keep and eye on me. That same day i found the best traffic attorney i could in my area. And he was able to get it reduced by talking to the DA to a 75/55 and dropped the reckless. I asked him when id be able to drive again and he said who said you couldnt i told him what happened and he told me that if i ever see the cop again and he gives me any trouble at all to have him call my lawyer. Well 1200 dolllars later its safe to say i learned my lesson. I lost a lot of respect for law enforcement since then and cant help but feel personally attacked.
you lost respect for the police because you got caught doin 105?? pfft,,.. how mature.. you do know at 105,,if that cop wasnt sitting where he was,,just some average joe was there pulling out and looked both ways assumed you were doing the speed limit and pulled out,,theres a good chance you your 2 buddies and whoever would have been in the other car all would be dead.. i know i know,,"your totally confident in your driving",,till a car pulls out in front of you unexpectedly because they assumed you were doing 55 not 105... you lost respect for the cops?? lol

Please reread hippiehillbilly he was coming towards me and pulled over on the shoulder and turned around I could have outran him but made a mature decision not to because of my passengers and the risk of the officers life. This was on a state route at 10:30 at night no houses so no average joe would be pulling out of the guard rails that lined the road. You must have skipped the part where I stated I slowed down as a car approached. Its not like I drive 100mph everywhere I go or like I was trying to get somewhere faster it was a spur of the moment decision that lasted all of 5 seconds. I immidiately was sorry for what I did and didnt expect any leaniencey then I discovered the cops decided to make there own laws and tell me my license was immediately suspended and they were even laughing about it, thats how I lost respect for the cops also how he went into my work and told my boss that the house i was visiting was under 24 hour survellience and that I was a bad kid when my boss repeatidly told him i was a good kid the cop asked how he knew and he told him he just knew. I wasnt trying to justify what I did at all I broke the law and its there job to enforce it but innocent until proven guilty is one thing this cop decided he was a justice and sentenced me himself. I believed him because they are the law. Hillbilly I guess you are just to immature to understand. I forgot to mention the part where the cop knew everything, how the car couldnt belong to me and i was either a drug dealer or stole it, i had to prove the car was mine by calling my father and having him talk to the officer, I loved how the police academy teaches cops the blue book values of cars and to round up 30k a 2004 a4 is not a $50000 car. ^We party there often but it was just like any other night except for the speeding thing.
look up new york state driving laws. you were initially charged with minor going 50 over and reckless driving.. that is immediate suspension of license,and the cop SHOULD HAVE TAKEN YOU TO JAIL!! the cop was going easy on you.. your license were reinstated after your lawyer cut the deal with the DA.. the rest,,im not going to quibble over.. the cops were just doin there job and as someone who drives 50,000 miles a year for work i hope you learned your lesson before you make a mistake from bein over confident in your driving abilities and kill a innocent person...
I have a upgraded license class D instead of DJ I would have been issued a driving after 9 ticket if it were a DJ but I got the upgraded license since I completed a year long of drivers education course, I can understand now where you thought it was an immediate suspension but its still innocent until proven guilty. No where did I say those police are gay for catching me. Those police are pieces of shit for not following proper procedure. Your trying to make this personal, you werent there its my story my thread get a life. The officers told me they got "special permission" to suspend it. It was never suspended I recieved no termination letter in the mail from the dmv and there is no evidence of a suspension on my drivers abstract. I wasnt looking for sympathy or trying to be cool by posting this I posted with hopes someone would tell me how to handle the officer situation. I dont need him coming into my work and trying to convince my boss im a trouble maker when I have never been in trouble before. Its a speeding ticket its not like I killed anyone or stole anything. Licenses are subject to suspension or revocation if you get a DUI, DWI, refuse a chemical test, or accumulate to many points(11 convicted points in Ny state) or fail to pay traffic fines.
