    There's a deafening silence,
    And a blinding red light,
    As they turn their backs,
    and force others to fight.

    Although voices yell out,
    Our leaders play mute,
    Yes, let's focus on us,
    As they continue to shoot.

    No love will be found,
    From the conscience that sleeps,
    Peace, it is whispered,
    But, violence, it screams.

Are they so used to it now,
    That they just cannot see,
    This war is a whore-
    It fucks carelessly.

    In our pursuit of progression,
    We only digress,
    This world's new turmoil,
    Equals the politician's success.

    They know the truth,
    It's Footprints, they read,
    The sinner's soul cursed,
    Still, the vengeful succeed.

    "Love thy neighbor,"
    "Eye for an eye,"
Yes, if you can do both,
    You'll live in the sky.

    But, when everyone's blind,
    And the choir stops singing,
    Who will be there,
    To stop all the bleeding?
