I've always wanted dreads, I just don't have the hair for it. Actually thats probably the only reason I want them.

I'm pretty sure anyone can dread their hair.

 

Even Azns can dread! Honestly unless you're bald you can probly dread your hair.

Awesome. Natural dreads are the best. Most of mine are backcombed, but I have this little section of natural ones and I love them so much more than all the others.

They're so fun to play with and they knot up in the most interesting patterns.

Mine are all natural and it took a few months before they started to knot up good, but now after 2 years or so they are pretty ugly. And that is exactly how I like them.

Wow you can actually 'get dreads done'? Oh my. i thought you just rubbed some peanut butter or something in there and called it good. Of course that was cheating but still you showed a level of commitment to the cause. It has now taken on a whole new level of pop culture style. That must really bug the hard core hippies.

 

not washing and conditioning your hair is key. i can go months without brushing and combing if my hair is washed and conditioned. and therefore i will never ever get dreads. you people have NO IDEA the degree of my stinky headedness when i go more than one day without washing. dave can attest. TESTIFY, DAVE!

that is simply not true..
using residue free shampoo and keeping your hair clean thus oil free is key..
i dont know where people get the notion that the easiest way to get dreads is to not wash there hair..
oily hair does not dread well..
oh agree with no conditioner for that reason though...
