Im torn between two areas to live in. Berkeley and the Mission in SF.

Berkeley seems logical because I'll be transferring UC Berkeley so I'd have a short commute to school. I've heard Berkeley is really awesome. The only thing drawing me toward the Mission is that most of the people I know up there live around that area of SF so it would be cool to be closer to friends. I know I'll end up meeting a lot of people at UC Berkeley but these people are old friends of like 7-10 years so were pretty tight. Then again the Mission is only 15 min. away on the BART. I dunno. I've heard that SF has a better nightlife scene, and that Berkeley can be kind of "sleepy". I really like hanging out in a big city all night.

I dunno. I guess it doesn't matter since the BART is so efficient.

    I dunno.

Yea that is a tough choice, I personally feel more peace when in berkeley, Sf is dirtier and not as nice vibe wise.

i second that, it has a cleaner and more chill atmosphere. So it comes down to two choices:
1-Be close to ur old friends in the loud city with lots of people, but further away from school.
2-Live with new friends(who might be cooler) in a less lively but more calm and relaxing place.
