it's been closed for a while, and i thought it would be cool to take picture of a deserted amusement park, so i went over the fence. through the fence, right before i went over. "whalom park, the playground of central new england" it's already falling down.. it was kind of creepy with no one around, cats live there and i could hear them, somewhere... it's still colorfull god, did kids really like those??
Sounds like it could've been the start of a bad scif-fi movie but at least you got out safely with some cool pictures!
Is this the same park that is on http://www.defunctparks.com/parks/MA/mountain/mountainpark.htm? That website has a whole load of old parks, but only a few have such cool pics, most don't seem to have any remains, just stories or pics from when it was still open.
I used to go there too! In fact I also used to live in Asburnham on Sunset Lake. Wow what a small world.
