so i have a friend who is diabetic, and has been for years. he is contemplating dropping acid, but he isn't sure if it would conflict with his diabetes. i personally don't think he should, mostly because half of the time his condition isn't very controlled...but at the same time i don't know that much about the disease, since myself am not diabetic.

any diabetics out here who've tripped on acid successfully? Or on the other hand, had bad experiences?

(i don't mean to sound ignorant, if i'm coming off that way)

i've tripped several times myself, and he always asks about it...but it makes me kinda nervous, i guess.

any opinions would be great! :)

I'm a diabetic and i've tripped plenty of times. successfully. lsd doesnt affect your blood sugar so it's totally safe for a diabetic.

    Telephone -

I am also diabetic, and have finally found acid for the first time. I know LSD does not affect bloodsugar levels, but my question to you is - do you find it hard to take care of your diabetes while tripping? For example, remembering to check your bloodsugar, or giving insulin/eating food. I know many people say they do not like to eat during a trip at all, but if it goes low I don't think it would be too bad to just drink some juice?

I've researched this drug for about 2 years now, but it's so hard to find information about it related to diabetics.

I'm sure it will vary depending on who you ask, but i'm gonna say it depends on how hard you're tripping. if you take like 10 hits and have completely lost your ego, off in your own world, obviously you are not going to be thinking about checking your blood sugar.
and yeah i don't ever eat much at all during a trip, but it shouldn't make you forget to take insulin if you usually do remember.
i think you'd be totally safe if you did acid. just be sure to check your blood sugar before you start tripping and like you said, be sure to drink some juice or something if you feel low. it's not that hard to get food down. actually some drinks taste a million times better when you're tripping, so juice should be good :)

juice is the shizzle on acid. especially mango nectar. orange juice is the bombdizzle too. eating isn't that hard on acid. i got really hungry during a trip once and went to jack in the box, and on another occasion, wendy's, but, that was for a frosty :D

Thanks for the reply. And yeah, I'm definitely not doing anything near 10 hits, only 1 or 2. Also I have an insulin pump, which makes it very easy if I do have to give any - just push a button, no shot. :)

holy fuck, mango juice while you're tripping is the best thing ever, i agree.
i never really get hungry, but sometimes i feel like i need nutrients. one time i ate some yogurt and it was the best yogurt i've ever tasted in my life.

I've got an insulin pump too. I don't think you have anything at all to be worried about. Have fun!:)
