Marijuana? Or your personality? The obvious responses are that pot isn't a gateway drug because most people drink or smoke cigarettes before they toke. Whether or not this is true is up for debate. The fact is that a lot of high school kids might drink, but only rarely will they drink everyday, or alone. Kids who smoke pot often end up toking everyday, and by themselves. I see this behavior as perhaps making somebody more prone to further drug activities, because frequent drug use/inebriation becomes commonplace. There's my two cents. PS) What drugs are we talking about here, out of curiosity.

weed didnt turn you into a drug addict, you did, just because you smoked weed first doesnt mean it was the reason for the rest of your drug abuse, weed isnt even a drug.
I dont think weed is a gateway drug i think it depend on the person. live in my case I was offered weed 1st if it had been any other drug I would have done that so it just happens to be that I got a hold weed 1st. I think addicts are born to be addicts.
i think its all in your head. heroin is a shitty drug to get hooked up on i even lost a friend to it..well not EXACTLY heroin but Methadone. close enough. i dont think you got addicted because of weed..you got addicted because you were dumb enough to try heroin in the first place. ive smoked on the wonderful plant since i was 14..im now 18 and the ONLY other drug i have even tried was coke and it wasnt because of weed that i tried it. im not addicted to it nor do i plan on doing it ever again.
The only way that I can see weed relating to heroin usage is that both use dealers. Now, if you could buy a pack of joints at a 7-11, then fewer people would know where to go score harder stuff.
