ok, so i know #4 heroin is the powdered injectable heroin available in nyc. I think #3 heroin is the crude smokeable black tar heroin available other parts of the us (not east coast). I've never heard of #1 or #2 heroin, but my question where did they get this numbering system from if there is no refference to #1 or #2 heroin anywhere on google...my guess is that "#1 heroin is codeine" which can be converted into "#2 heroin which could be morphine" which can be converted into "#3 heroin which is acetylated morphine" which can be rinsed and cleaned and somehow turned into "#4 Heroin, diacetylmorphine"... Does anyone know anything about this whole # thing with heroin...?
theres some extremley acurate guide the dea wrote on the entire heroin trade from poopy seed to heroin, asia to america...they probably shouldn't have made a guide that detailed about that shit and left it all over the web...but yea they mention #3 and #4 heroin in it and so do a few other things...

No.4 grade heroin is the purest form of heroin commonly known as China White. It is a white powder that is easily dissolved and thus readily injected. No.3 grade heroin is a tan-coloured, granular product referred to as ‘brown rock’. The difference in colour between No.4 and No.3 grades is a result of impurities introduced during or remaining after the manufacturing process. No.3 grade is commonly heated and the vapours inhaled. It can be injected but it has to be dissolved in citrus instead of water. No.2 grade heroin is dark brown and is even less pure than No.3. Unprocessed raw heroin or heroin base is referred to as No.1 heroin commonly known as "Black Tar". No.4 is commonly found in eastern US, No.1 in western US, No.3 in Europe. Hope that cleared it up

navajas- Is 100% correct that is the old Heroin chart and what kinds there are. most of the times #3 and #4 are from south East Asia or Afghanistan or central Asia and #1 and #2 are from Columbia,Peru and central America !!!
