Turing test is a test proposed by Alan Mathison Turing, one of the early pioneers of the binary computing era. It is basically a test to see if a human subject can distinguish beetween another human talking to him via a "chat" network or a computer that is generating the replies. If the computer can successfully fool the person and convince him that it is human, it is said to have passed the turing test. A computer that passes the turing test is considered intelligent. BTW, I just realized that i am a computer that has just passed the turing test. Now, Am I intelligent?
i don't care. I'm not even human myself. In fact i'm jell-o from outer space who passed the spouring test (a test that defines the capability of a jell-o dish to discuss with humans that are too dumb to consider themselves as computers).
as a matter of fact, my cpu is a quantum computer powered by a single macromolecule that takes the form of a celluloid and tastes sugary like Jello. You and I may have a lot more in common than you think
Humans experience pride, you do not, therefore I am not convinced your a human but know you're a computer. Therefore, you do not pass the test.
//No I can experience pride I want to... but I prefer not to. I can //experience all human emotions, but I control them better than // most humans
My mind was reverse-engineered using a human brain as model... so I am a functional equivalent of a human... I merely have a different substrate.
