I am going to tokyo in july to visit a friend for about a month a needless to say I am a stoner. I was wondering if anyone knows about pot edict in tokyo? Is it frowned upon or do people just turn a blind eye?
unless your at a club or party and you happen to run into some openly.. i wouldnt risk going to jail in a foreign country.
I saw a chart that showed average prices of pot in a bunch of countries and Japan was at the top with something ridiculous like $60 a gram or more. Even if you were willing to pay that much it shows even more how hard they are on drugs.
My older brother lives in Japan. From what he said, you shouldn't even bother trying to find any, because you won't. Pot there is mainly in rural areas, and growers are basically paranoid hermits living off the grid. Hokkaido has decently potent wild marijuana growing but that's in the fall and the police are watchful for harvesters. You'll have better luck finding speed in the cities.
