Yeah, something just incredibly freaky happened today. The house that is next door to my house has been on sale now for quite awhile, but then we found out that someone bought it yesterday. So then, next thing we know, a cop car pulls up to our driveway with the man who is going to live in the house, and what does this man say? He says, "Hi, my name is _____ and I'm a convicted sex offender and I'm going to be living next door to you guys". Now, I have to say, I'm a little freaked out by this, because I'm 18, but I also have some little brothers and sisters. My 2 brothers are 11 and 8 and my one sister is 14. So, I just have to say, this is really making me PARANOID, is this guy going to try and rape one of my siblings?

go online and find out what it was he was convicted of before you get all freaked out. alotta different things are under the umbrella term 'sex offender'. and some of them really aren't so scary actually.

The value of your home just dropped by 10 grand.

People researching to buy houses check for sex offenders.

maybe something small and insignificant happened between him and some other neighbor, who exaggerated and accused him of being a sex offender and called the cops, so when they took him and he saw you he was just being sarcastic and trying to be funny or somethin.

I would research the person and find out exactly what he was charged with. One of my friends ex-boyfriends got in trouble with an underage girl. He was 18 and she was 15 or 16 I think. Anyway her parents found out they were having sex and they charged him with something (i can't remember what) and he is now a sex offender.

So, It could be something minor or it could be something huge.

Wow, I thought it was illegal for them to live around children? I can't believe he's being allowed to live next door to kids. . . how irresponsible of the government. Letting those evil shits out and keeping recreational drug users in jail. What's wrong with this picture? You should complain, get him out of the neighborhood somehow. I sure wouldn't stand for that.

This is nothing. Clinton let a shitload of murderers go before he got impeached. Then again, if you're not of any significant political interest I guess that wouldn't matter much to you.

Now me on the other hand... I could see a gun in my face in the future. Until then I keep a low profile.

So basicly if you take compitent safety measures you should be fine even if he is an offender of any significance.
