kissing w/ lip piercings...

How long would you suggest going without kissing after getting a vertical labret or any other lip piercing?


and also...I'm thinking of getting a VL. and was wondering if anyone who has this could share how the healing process was for them?

Yeah I was going to say 2 weeks, maybe. I learned that the hard way lol

 

depends on the jewellery. with a flatback or barbell, you should be fine to kiss (gently) in a few days. with a ring, it will take a bit longer (mine was maybe a week, it was a long time ago, i dont really remember). with a vertical labret, you might be feeling fine in a week, maybe longer. just see how you feel and dont do anything that hurts

 

When fluids stop secreting from the piercing. Which would be probably a month or so. But whether you're wearing a post or a ring makes a big difference too, like scatteredleaves said. Once, I was wearing a ring while making out with my boyfriend (who has rather long hair) and his hair got caught in my ring. Oh it hurt.
