I would take it as a sign that I should steal as many beads as possible from that store if that ever happened to me.

I rarely get carded for buying liquor.

It's because I usually purchase wine at the liquor store, and I know what I want when I order at the beer store. It's not like I'm there to pick up Smirnoff Ice coolers or anything. Also, I tend to purchase my alcohol shortly after noon when the underage kids are all at school.

i still find it a little disconcerting the availability of booze in the US. not that is bad, but its weird to me that you can buy it at grocery stores. here we have licensed, govt-run liquor board stores (LB's, ie "im going to the LB now") and then offsales at bars taht charge like twice as much as the LBs do

Yeah, and in Ontario it's policy that the liquor board cards everyone who looks 25 or younger. So at every store that sells alochol they should be carding you if you look younger than 25. A lot of people who are carded at 30 years old are usually very flattered --- it's kindda funny.

I have never been ID'ed for using my debit card or my credit card.

I have been asked for my ID in the USA to use my debit card, but never here.

We can only get 3.2 flu at our grocery stores/gas stations etc. And we cannot even buy it on Sunday at all, except on sale...and not even till like 11 am I believe it is. Good thing sconsin is only a hop across the bridge.

On top of it, the town where I live, well, the city has a monopoly going. They are the only jar store in the town, and despite many efforts, nobody get can a license to open another one up.
