If it wasn't for Hitler, the Vietnam war and what they call Modern Marviles. There would be no history channel. I don't like Hitler and I'm sick of hearing about him. I was in Vietnam and I'm sick of hearing about that too. And Modern Marviles thinks a surf board is a marvile. I have to pay for this damn channel and I hate it. Peace
Okay silverhippy I have this great idea, you want to hear it?? don't watch it... I like history channel, I watch it at times they have some decent shows...
it's not a premium channel. you have to pay for it the same way i have to pay for mtv, which is without a doubt much worse than the history channel
I was a tour guide. This way to the throbbing meat people. sorry just kidding. I was a door gunner in a Helicopter. Never mind. Peace
Doesn't Monster Quest come on the history channel, I like that show... And UFO Hunters and Ice Road Truckers or something like that...
The History Channel is good if you want the authorized version of history, though sometimes they will admit things that are true... like the CIA installing Mao in 1949 and Operation Paperclip, which smuggled Nazi scientists into the country, giving us what we know today as NASA.
They've actually been airing a variety of Operation Paperclip-type documentaries lately, which I have found to be quite useful.
I love the History Channel. I wish they had a History Channel when I was growing up. I always had these VERY boring history teachers who would write facts and dates on the board. It was hard to remember without visual stimulation. I learned more about the Civil War from watching movies like "Glory" on the History Channel than I ever could when I was in grammar school.
Shhh, Mama knows. Sorry about that. I know you must be sick about talking about it, but I'd be good at listening to you and any stories you feel like expressing to someone. If you ever need to vent, PM me. I could recommend a great program on the Outdoor Life Network next time you're sick of the Hist Channel.
i like the discovery civilzationa nd national geographic channels... ancient history is far more interesting to me than the more recent stuff though
Lol, my 8th grade US History class was renamed "Coach Bill History" by all the kids because he would always start on subject and then find relevance in his own life and give us a personal anecdote. I didn't learn shit in that class. My high school US history class was taught by a coach who hated our school and everything about it (except me and my friends, lol), and he just sat on his ass and picked on us. The only lesson he EVER did, he referred to a battle victory as "We went over there and whooped their butts!" I taught myself history that year, lol.
