Would you agree with the following statement?

LSD is a more open-minded experience because it is not completely natural and other natural psychedelics such as shrooms, salvia and DMT will give you a more magical experience with spirits and entities present.

i wouldn't say that any hallucinogen is more open minded than another. each hallucinogen opens a different part of your mind, so, i'd say they were equally open minded

I agree with this part of your statemtent.
As for the open-mindedness thing, I'm not sure I understand what you mean, or what you're asking.

Well on LSD do you feel more empty will no spirits or naturalistic beings like your mind is free of any of that like you just loose your ego and see the visuals. On other psychedelics do you feel like you are under the presence of something that is guiding your thoughts?

This is just a theory of mine not from experience.

I agree though I dont believe in spirits actually. The Ajna Chakra is open to much more on a psychedelic trip, and with the right mind set can receive images and information from the energy put out by living and non living and even future entities which may manifest as something that can be thought of as spirit, but to me, it's all enclusive and is just a tuning into higher vibrational thought. Just my opinion of course, I have had visions and been taught by both Paramahansa Yogananda and Sri Yukteswarji during trips and during sober meditation, but I took that as my own mind manifesting images and intentions (because they didnt speak but rather gazed) in order to grasp a more profound Nature and to grow away from ego identification.
But yes I do think that LSD brings me closer to beauty and wonder and acceptance, while magic mushrooms bring me closer to God (in whatever sense that term signifies, however you want to understand it) and to Nature, a more feeling of Oneness that LSD doesnt bring me.
But then again, I've heard from loads of people who experience the two trips completley opposite than that, so I think it's subject to personality and taste, to be honest.
    God Bless ~

This thread is funny. I want to answer but there is no way to say how spiritual an LSD "experience" would leave you. There is certainly potential to have the most profound and deep spiritual experience you've ever had, or you may end up feeling empty or worse.

while on mushrooms I do inhabit a more mystical mindset, almost as if the earth, or a very ancient shaman of earthly wisdom is innately and without words (or presence) guiding me to the true ineffable nature of my surroundings.

On LSD I can rarely achieve this sort of seemingly earthly "spiritual" bliss, but moreover feel detached from earth in a sort of alien perspective

i kinda think the whole argument about which is more spiritual or down to earth psychedelic, synthetic or organic, is a stupid argument. just because a drug is made in a laboratory instead of grown in a field does that make it less of psychedelic? i think all drugs are just drugs, some happen to natural, others made in a lab. i think the experience and the effects depend on set, setting and what chemical u are taking.

ok thanks for the opinions, I just wanted to see what others had to say about this topic because my friends say these things and I just wanted to see other peoples perspectives.
I do really agree with its what you make it to be based on set and setting and its all just chemicals in the brain that are very similar and what happens to everyone is the same its how our 5 senses interprets the experience and this is where the differences and different ideas come in because we all have different mindsets.
It's just an idea im open to criticism if im incorrect help me out her lol.

I think maybe part of the reason the experiences are different is because there are other chemicals in mushrooms, and psychedelic plants that have minor effects on the trip. Mushrooms always feel more muddled, like theres several things going on at once. LSD is one singular chemical, so there isnt any variation. sort of like the difference between opium and morphine, or caffeine pills and coffee. Just a thought.
