I've always been able to feel pain in my dreams. The pain is very very real feeling which is odd to me because I have dreamed about some very weird injuries that I would not even begin to know what it feels like. I had a dream once that I had some kind of virus or something that was in my arm and to remove it I had to stick my arm in this machine that aligned my molecules so the virus (or whatever) could surface. The feeling was insane. The only thing I could somewhat begin to relate it to would be the weird vibrating feeling that being electrically shocked gives. Also I have been shot in my dreams and never shot in real life. One dream I will never forget is the one where I was shot in the head with a shotgun at close range... so creepy.

I have had similar dreams, lol. I've been shot in the head but, I never died or felt pain. I've been stabbed and sliced with a knife. I have been thrown out of a hot air balloon and felt the sensation of falling and I hit the ground but, just laid there not moving. It's weird what you dream about.

I can't say i feel mutch physical pain in dreams ...i feel the sensations of a sword slash or bite but with a numbed kind of detatchment from burning, stinging agonising physical pain. Luckily. I've been shot, knived, skewered, drowned, beat up,headbutted, attacked with a strimmer and by all sorts of wierd monsters and beasts.
I guess physical pain belongs in our hard surface physical waking (or sleeping perhaps?) world.

    Define real.

Can anyone know everything that's real?

When you stub your toe, how do you know you stubbed your toe? The pain? The question becomes,"Is pain only a physical sensation or does it have spiritual counterparts?" OR "Are body and spirit actually connected?"

its just that i don't understand how something can leave evidence on your physical body from a dream attack...its something i cannot grasp just yet...i'm not saying i cannot happen...just its hard to grasp. maybe i need to find the right questions as you say...ok nev?

    nice tunes BTW

It's not just pain... all of my senses are fully alive and working perhaps even better than in reality. I absolutely love it. Sometimes my dreams seem more real than what is 'real'. Maybe what I perceive as real is really unreal and my dreams are true reality and my 'waking life' is really my dreams. ...I think my brain just deflated.

It can be hard to grasp....
    See? :p
Even with those of us it happens to it's difficult to understand.

It's really only happened to me once(as far as I can remember), but I have met many people whom have had various reasons why it has happened to them. For a lot of people it happens through malevolent beings that have no physical bodies as we understand it. A friend of mine used to wake with claw marks on her arms and/or legs. We smudged the house and sealed all possible entrances. It seemed to have worked and some months later her mom and sister both admitted that they both had it happen to them when they were kids, who knows if her kids will be visited the same way...
I have met several other people with the same sort of generational attachments...
Yet other people are just more 'in-tune' or 'aligned' with their connection between their physical body and their spiritual/energy/astral body. Of which there are many different ways to be connected... kinda' like the internet....

I dreamed I had a panic attack today. My chest hurt and it felt just as bad as it does IRL. Not fun!

No, I was there with her on several nights it happened and the claw marks were too thin and too close together to be from her or me. It looked more like rat claw marks but there were only in sets of three and what natural animal only has three toes? A sloth? A box turtle? A amphiuma(a kind of salamander)? A rhinoceros?

If it were an animal how could it miss a claw(or two) on every strike? How would burning sage and erecting magical seals prevent it from coming back? ---------------- Now playing: Force Of Nature - The Long Way of Drums

I feel pain in some of my dreams, too. People pinch me really hard, or hug me extremely hard till I feel like they're going to kill me. Lol. Plenty of other stuff... also sadness, deep pain inside...

I couldn't breathe and I had chest pains. I don't know what else to tell you. I had another dream a couple hours ago where my ribcage got dislocated and really hurt.
I guess you could say I'm really worried about my health right now.

Yes, I would be too. If you can get it checked first by a doctor.

Though, throughout history these have been very common symptoms of "night visitations". In which a non-physical entity(typically, depending on the mythos) will sit on, attach itself to or attack the chest of a sleeping person and invade their dreams and/or feed off their energy.

Hey edenfield, sorry it's taken me so long to respond... I was in the woods...

I'm not exactly sure how people acquire generational attachment entities nor exactly where they come from. But, what they seek from their host(s) is energy. They energy they require depends upon each entity, some like fear, others like sadness (etc.) and so they try to invoke such states upon their host(s) often through dreams. Though, there are some entities, such as poltergeists(which can also have generational attachments), that use the same tactics on those whom are not dreaming.
Healing them? I guess that depends on ones faith/beliefs. There are many rituals/spells/chants/prayers and even potions designed to protect people from the effects of such beings as well as banishing them or destroying them. I have yet to stumble across anything about healing the entities, though, I do like the idea. It may be possible to open some line of communication with such beings in order to find out what the deal is, what they need and why. If such were achieved then one could determine how to proceed from there. The biggest problem I could see with such a thing is what other energy source could they use? Especially if the require a particular frequency such as fear or sadness... The sadness energy could have stemmed from an emotional or spiritual wound from a distant past that they have yet to come to terms with and is he only thing that has kept them 'alive', which is the case for many hauntings. Once such an issue is dealt with the haunting stops for the entity moves on to another plane of existence. Though, the hauntings of disembodied human spirits may be completely different than the entities that attach themselves to people which may have never been human to begin with and would make communication that much more difficult, though not impossible.
I would say that communication and research are key in dealing with any entity, whether it has a body or not.:D

I know how they feel, I feel like an energy sucker sometimes, healing ourselves would surely send them elsewhere, if not, at least start the healing process in them, especially if they are 'ours'

i've always been able to feel, smell, taste, and usually read, not just pain or pleasure, but everything just exactly like when i'm awake (and in perfectly fine, even microscopic, detail). the only difference being things like teleporting and floating in air, that so far i haven't observed while awaike, but find not at all uncommon or unusual when in dreams.

being able to feel things like the texture of rough wood, or smothe stainless, even the tactile defference between a stainless steel sheet or machined surface, and something more extremely smooth, like a sheet of glass.
