Thanks Gypsymama, you're so right. This has been really hard for me but I have decided to just be myself and well, if it happens that me and him don't work out anymore, then that is just the truth of how it would be because then I wouldn't be playing games anymore. It isn't fair to both of us. For the past few days, I've been totally being myself and it seems like we are getting along a little better actually. I'm not depressed anymore and I'm much less stressed.
i date a girl that is attracted to guys with long dark hair. so its not for my dreads but still for my hair
I so agree with this. I have made a number of changes to myself that initially my husband of almost 10 years was 100% against, wearing my nose ring again after years of having it out, stretching my ears, dying my hair black and growing it to my waist... But after they were done he simply got used to it. When I said I wanted dreads he had a fit, was totally against it and I waited 2 years for him to mellow out because I DO want to make him happy. I have done it and he's just as indifferent to it as to the other stuff. He loves me for me, and anything having to do with hair or jewelry he sees now doesn't change who I am for the worse, but for the better since I feel more like me this way. Don't ever give up who you are.
I am dating a girl who used to have Synth dreads but that was waaaay before i knew her. The longer i have my dreads the further it seems to push her away but hey, we'll see how things go. I am usually attracted to girls with dreads but finding a girl with dreads near me to date is going to be a toughie haha and im already spoken for, at least for now hahha.
Are you trying specifically to find a dready girl, or just a girl who likes your dreads regardless of whether she has any?
Ahhhh Phil...I dont get it...you are a hottie. Maybe you should move to the US where all you need is a guitar and girls will be throwing their panties at ya'
When you're chatting up a lady do you make your dreads into an issue? Could any negative self-feelings you're showing be putting them off? Coz ya don't seem like an arsehole or anything!
Aww Phil honey... are there really no dreadlocked girls in sunny Peterborough? I'm not a million miles away in Lincoln and there are 1 or 2 here. Admittedly there seems to be more lads with dreads than girls, but its certainly not a rarity. Are dreadlock numbers falling in the UK do you think, or on the rise? There seems to have been a big drop since the early nineties crusty scene, but there does seem to have been a bit of a resurgence of late. [Shrugs] Who knows....
Certainly up here in this lonely group of islands there is an increase... Mind you.. they are waxed up and lose em after a year... Noo den Callie (Shetland Lingo) Wanting some Man O Man cam action? I'll see what can be arranged
It's a shame they have to lose there dreads through ignorance. Maybe you should set up the island's first dreadlocking advisory service? How 'bout: Shetland Hair-dreading Information and Tutorage? (S.H.I.T) : I can just picture the sign on the office door
Im just one of these zero self confidence guys when it comes to girls, I dont eally have a negatve self image or anything, I just fall apart before even walking up to someone I like....lol... maybe I will bring my guitar to the US, either that or me and mabster will have to hook up lol
So ya...I find guys and gals with dreads gorgeous..... except for one exception there is this guy that I keep seeing around. his dreads are amazing and he's propable a totally cool guy....but I get a creeped out vibe from him.... *shudders* anyhoo... I'd be all over you phil.... If I wasn't already spoken for... not only do I find dread incredibly sexy, but tattoos as well!
