Hello everyone, I just discovered this forum last night and spent a happy 2 or 3 hours just browsing through. I figured I might as well sign up, so here's a quick bio to get me started. Lessee, what can I tell you... Born in Scotland, grew up in England, spent some time in Australia and have lived in the US for the last 15 years. So yes, my accent's completely screwed up. Spent 9 years living in Phoenix, Arizona (liked Arizona, didn't like Phoenix), before moving to Colorado 6 years ago and I love it, love it, love it. I'm sliding, kicking and screaming, into middle age although I steadfastly refuse to mature. Nobody asked me if I wanted to be a grown up, it was foisted on me and I'm not very good at it so I'll resist it as long as possible. I do tend to live a fairly mainstream life, but I've always had an inner-hippy screaming to get out. Backpacking around the world in the early 90's was the closest I've got (so far) to dropping out of society, but that's still the goal. Hobbies include mountain biking, photography, target and trap shooting and when I can find the time, trying to learn the harmonica, painting and writing. One tattoo (shoulder), one piercing (ear), one dog (husky-mix), one wife and uh...what else do you want to know?
Thanks for the welcome guys - and perhaps one of you could answer a couple of questions for me. I've been playing around in the "UserCP" section but can't see how to upload an avatar, or a signature. For the first I have an already checked radio button saying "Do not use an avatar", and I can't uncheck it. And for the second, I just can't find anywhere to put it. Also, I see have "guest" appearing under my user name. Do I have to make a certain number of posts, or behave myself for a certain period, or can I change that myself somewhere. Appreciate the advice. Thnx
Skip is the forum head here so you might won't to pose some questions to him if no one else can answer. Secondly, their used to be something on here where you had to post 100 posts before becoming a member and that gave you more access to things, however you should be able to put an avatar on.
