I'm going over my pc, getting ready for wow ob, and spybot S&D brought up the DSO exploit. Now, I know that it'll say that, even if you've updated windows, so it may or maybe not still be there. I've updated once or twice, but it might of been prior to window's awareness of the dso issue. My question is: do I have to worry about it if I'm not running IE? I rarely use it. I'd delete it actually, but I need it to go onto windows sites for drivers and the like. So, should I update just incase, or leave it as is, because I don't use IE very often. Also, what other things are included in the windows updates?
The problem is that even if you don't use IE often it is still used to render things for other M$ programs (e.g. the outlook familly) and will still be vulnerable...
^^When I was reading up on dso prior to posting, I read on the spybot S&D forums that even if you have updated, it'll still show up in spybot. It's just a bug in spybot. Nothing to worry about.
'Cuz Windows sucks. Buy Mac...or Linux! Lol, I just use IE when I don't feel like waiting for Opera to load...or my Gmail...
Well, if it was up to me, I would delete without a second thought, but it's not. I'm still running a windows box, which means I might need things like drivers and updates. Hence why I still have IE.
Yeah, IE isn't THAT bad. The one that runs on Mac is...I mean the IE you can get for Macs. That is awwwwwwful. Meh, If I had the choice I'd be using a G5...
oh my, I've never seen a mac user so young. Well anyways, I have no idea why anyone would buy a mac and surf the net w/ IE. I mean really, most people get macs to get away from windoze.
Back in the day when schools were Macs...they used IE. That's how I know that. No, I just hate Bill Gates. Not hate, just deeply dislike. He makes the wrosest stuff and gets away with because no one else is against him. All that will change soon. IBM,HP,Dell and such are starting to offer XP or Linux.
