If you are having both vaginal & anal sex, then you should always have vaginal sex before anal sex, rather than vice versa - at least not without thoroughly washing the penis after anal penetration, otherwise there is a strong possibility of transferring bacteria to the vagina, which is an ideal growth medium for incubating infection. At least if you are using condoms you are able to either switch condoms, or only wear it for anal.
