Live at the Rainbow DVD. Possibly one of Bob's best performances ever, hands-down my favorite witnessed (too bad it was dvd and not reality). The question is, what in God's name is Bob on throught the performance? Theres no way it was just a lil of his exquisite cheebah (although i'm pretty sure he was on that too!)

If you haven't seen the performance, youtube it and try and decide for yourselves. Is he trippin on some 'cid? We all know this was an extremely spiritual man who had acquired key ingredience to reaching the higher terrain, but this man is in some kind of trance unlike any i've ever seen during this performance....

I don't think he did any other drugs. I would think that if he was tripping it would be shrooms but the bible says "smoke the herb of the earth" not "eat the shrooms of the earth" so I wouldn't think he'd be on them. Maybe he just got really into the music, who knows.

 

Marley was himself a Rastafarian and as such he didnt take any man made drugs, as of course, herb was made by god.

I have seen that live DVD and i must agree it is a must have. I also have like at santa barbra 1979 and that is almost as good.

 

Shrooms were made by god.

 

Oh, so were opiates (like heroin) and cocaine.

Edit: And, in the end, isn't everything, if not made by but, allowed to happen by God OK? If you can combine things to make them happen God has allowed to be able to happen. Just like God created gravity to not allow water to float in the air.

The Aztecs used to suck on the coca plants to get high, that's as natural as smoking bud is. I don't really know anything about heroin or any other opiate.

It was probably the fact that he was just so much more spiritually in-tune than the rest of us, thus it probably didn't take the heaviest of drugs for him to go into "trance mode"

 

I wouldn't say that it was his spirituality but his love for music. Sometimes when I'm sober music just hits me the right way that it sounds just as good as if I were high.

Well that was my point, cocaine would still be around yes, and so would magic mushrooms, and mescaline.

Cocaine doesnt come purely from the plant. If man didnt add so many chemicals and cook it properly it would just still be the plant.

Same with mescaline.

Mescaline is in Peyote which is a cactus. Both these plants can be used to get you high and it's not like you would have to eat a shit load of the plant.
