I want to start growing, but I am wondering if it's too late, or too hot? I live in Arizona, it is 110 here on any given day in the summer, but I have a very shady spot in mind, and I have placed a thermometor there, and it is only 85-90 during the hottest part of the day, is usually shaded (still gets indirect light) and is a dense area with other vegetation (bamboo). I have looked alot into growing, and it seems it is possible to grow in these conditions, but I was wondering what you guys thought? If it's too hot now, can I grow in the fall?
Cough.... No its not to hot, thats a myth. Have you ever been to Mexico or South America? Well then, Theses temps are hot in direct sunlight, Dude correct me if Im wrong but does not you over night temps on a clear night drop rapidly? I guess if you dont have stong winds or air movement its warm at night in the summer.. But Im sure you can get a chill too.. But saying your plants will love the sun and the heat. as long as they have water. Growing in this enviroment is probable difficullt since plants will respond to light and grow rather tall very fast. IMO you would want a low rider and clones in your yard or surrounding areas but thats up to you to determine the eradication and control measures on the Weed. Indoors youll be fine. arizona norml http://norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=4523&wtm_view=penalties
How often do you think they will need to be watered then? The space I am growing has a 9ft wall behind it, as long as they are not taller than that, no one will see them. I don't have neighbors I live in a rural area, and the area I plan to grow is hard to get too, and hard to see, even from above. Would it be best to plant them in direct sunlight, or would it alright if they got a good solid 4-5 hours of light, but the rest of the day they are shaded?
Also, I have a mix of schwag low-quality seeds, and about 5 seeds that I have collected from the high grade buds, I had two baggies, put the seeds in the paper towels, and let them sprout, 13 our of 15 good seeds sprouted, and alomst all the crappy seeds sprouted. Does the type of seed effect the type of plant? I plan to keep them male-free obviously, but I was wondering if it would be worth it to grow the crappy seeds, or just plant my good seeds?
When the leaf droop then they need water or when the look like they are not growing. But a steady supply of water is need as well as nutrition. Ferts and Nutes.. Yes, but they might flower early. Might not be a bad thing though, since they will keep a low profile.
Sometimes in the end there is no such seed as crappy seed.. Especially if it came directly from a bag of smokeable marijuana.. Ruderal hemp isnt really smokin grade weed. So the El'Chepo mexican commercial may bring you a nice variety of seed. Hybrids even.
