Question:What if u found a friend was attracted to underage people?

Would you say "enoughs enough" and stop being friends with them?

I've been friends with a guy for a very long time.
But in recent times he's become quite unsavoury in a number of ways.
"Damaged" might be the way to describe nowadays what used to be a nice , chilled , good guy.( the whole long thread incidentally was back here ...

Before things got really strained , certain things started registering with me ie that he seemed to have an "interest" in girls younger than him.
He's gone 30 now but he admitted "if it was legal , he'd screw a FIFTEEN year old"!!!And he said some other really
worrying comments /views about the whole topic of underage sex in general.Altho I'm sure he's never done anything with one ( infact I dont think he even talks to any).

( He doesnt appear anything like a weirdo - respectable career- he doesnt have buck teeth , jumpers his mother knitted him , go trainspotting , or wear glasses with sticky tape in the middle)

This isnt a guy who has ever been into one night stands - or even screwing outside of a full on relationship.So to me , its like he'd want a relationship with well ... a child.I mean , fuck , thats depraved - IMO anyway.

As it is , he's become quite unsavoury in numerous ways , like a schizo personality , and Im really fed up of his behaviour in lots of stuff.
With others , Ive seen him quite manipulative , bullying - yet always tempered against a charming side- sounds familiar for a you know what....! : (
It actually dawned on me , thinking "maybe he isnt right in the head".( he had a messy divorce , as one thing).

Do people think , or not think that the above is good enough reason to end a friendship?Is it a real warning sign that he's a wacko?
I mean what should I do?
Say "you need help , now fuck off and die" or what?

I dont know.
Any advice , opinions , Id be really grateful.

I would tell him that he needs to get help, that he's been acting shity towards you and until he gets some help your going to exit stage right.

He'll probably say that if he never does anything with one , then it "doesnt matter".
But ontop of that , there's the other weird things he's said.

There's a big scandal in Jersey at the moment ( offshore banking island semi attached to Britain) and there were many dozens of cases of child abuse covered up , murders even , over many years.It makes me ill to think that a friend of mine flirts with warped ideas and glosses over it.

15 isnt that young, but im only 18 so go figure. this guys 30? i dont know about that. why dont you tell him what you think and see what he says. when he told you all that what did you tell him? or did you just shine him on cause you didnt know what to say? tell him, look here man, that aint right, ok? and you know what i dont deal with people who aint right. and then tell him like scarface that hes a hassa, you know, a pig, a pig that dont fly straight. but i think that it is legal to bone a fifteen year old in some states.

 

Well Ive told him "fuck thats sick.How the hell could you fancy whats just a child".
But I was just so dumbstruck I didnt really know what to say.
I was only seeing him (part of a group of us)once in a while because he lives a long way away anyway , and since then well...

Problem was , he used to be so "normal" ,I try and show loyalty when I can and its like its too much for me to comprehend , if that makes any sense.( probably none whatsoever)

He's said other really weird stuff tho too eg he was openly drooling over a fairly youngish girl on TV.
Unfortunately , as weve seen elsewhere in this forum , they concoct weird "justifications".Sadly his view , I suspect is , " other people feel the same and if someone doesnt do it , it isnt wrong".
I disagree , I mean fuck , someone like that *needs* treating ( or shooting?)
It makes me feel ill , just thinking about it.

 

This "friend" has a lot of problems, it seems, but being attracted to the underage group is a sexual orientation that he was born with and there is nothing that he can do about it except behave responsibly towards other human beings.

If you cut him loose, don't do it out of disgust, but simply because you no longer enjoy his company.

 

ya if he refuses to get help, i think it is grounds to end a friendship.
i'm 19, and if one of my friends wanted/got with someone under 16, i'd end that friendship

 

So, let me get this straight....
If a 15 tear old girl is watching a movie, with let's say ...brad pitt (or any other Hollywood star for that matter)

Then feels so horny, so she goes to her room to masturbate while thinking about him.

Is something wrong with her head ?
I mean, he is a 45 years old man...30 years older than her !!!

in south carolina the age of consent is 14 for chicks and 16 for men. so he should just move there. most states have the age of consent at 16. i really dont see why your tripping so much about your friend. at least he's attracted to girls who for most of history were considered adults at that age. if i were you id start worrying if he says hes attracted to like 12 year olds and stuff. in my opinion i think 14 is still a little on the young side, but as you can see the lawmakers in south carolina dont. in some states you can have sex at 16 if your straight, but if your gay you have to wait 2 more years. thats funny.

 

i have a friend like this, i try not to be his friend. I've tried talking to him and suggesting he gets help. HOWEVER he said he had a talk with god and god told him as long as love is involved it's ok.

 

Most men and some women are attracted to teenage girls. It is quite natural, if they have boobs and a bush then they're going to be attractive to some people. It's ACTING on these thoughts that would be a bad thing. He said he'd only do it if it was legal.

My view is sort of , well this is the sign of someone whos gone a bit wacko , sinister maybe.Sort of would like the idea of being manipulative towards someone , younger , who he'd have power /influence over.

I mean were not just talking someone who's stumbled onto a website with skinny little teenager types( who are really 23!).Someone who has a daft idea that him as a 30 year old can relate to what is really a child - in THAT way.

i dated a dude who said the same thing , but he was 25. I joked around about how maybe i should date someone younger than me, like 16 (i just turned 18) and he was like "yaa get a 15/16 yr old couple over here!" he said he just recently fucked a 15 yr old that he tutored. i lost all attraction for him.. and eventually told him why. well, when i was 15 i was very much infatuated with a 27 year old man. im 18 now, and am involved with him (he's 30.) when i was 15 i saw no problem with being so (almost) obsessed with a guy so much older. now that i am 18, if he were to be involved with anyone even 16, i would feel disgusted that he could see that as right. im glad he isnt like that, but if i were in your shoes, i would feel the same way as you.
