For you guys who will correct my rainbow grammar.
The son of the Pinedale sheriff realizes he is a Rainbow?

PINEDALE -- A Sublette County man is still missing, but his pickup truck has been discovered in the Big Sandy area, near where the Rainbow Family gathering is taking place.
The son of Sublette County Sheriff Wayne Bardin has been missing since Saturday, and officials commenced a search for the 24-year-old Tuesday.
Garrett Bardin was last seen in his Lincoln Mark LT truck, headed south from Pinedale on U.S. Highway 191. The pickup was discovered Tuesday by a volunteer search team working in conjunction with the Sublette County Sheriff's Office, but Bardin has yet to be found, according to the sheriff's office.

I DO HOPE this guy turns up alive & well. Personally, I think he's pretty hot and if anyone runs into the guy, I hope it's me:wink:

Also, why would the Sheriff's son (of all people) just turn up missing right when the Gathering is getting up and going? Doesn't sound right.

how do you know he is really missing?....it could all be staged....the gov is good at that....gives them an excuse and seams the gathering ....

or maybe he was kidnapped by hippies and forced to smoke pot and is currently in a cuddle puddle...oh my god!...there is no returning after that!

I carried water with Garrett the day before his pic appeared all over the woods. Lots of people saw him at the drum circles too.

They actually found a man dead in the river on the third. For a few hours it was belived to be him, but later on was proven not to be. While I was staying at the gathering site this missing man proved to be quite the reason for more police to be present on site. Most all of the kitchens had posted up his picture.

I found this article on Pinedaleonline.

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office in Pinedale today released additional information regarding the body of the man found in the Wind River Mountains near the Big Sandy River yesterday [July 3, 2008].

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Detective Dick Blust said county investigators who recovered the body and processed the scene believe the cause of death to have been a single self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officials said that an official identification has not yet been made, but the process of making a forensics-based identification is underway. An autopsy is planned but has not yet been definitively scheduled.

Garrett Bardin’s father, Sublette County Sheriff Wayne "Bardy" Bardin, and Garrett’s mother, Carole Richie, have asked the media to help express their thanks to everyone involved in the investigation and the search for Garrett, and to the people of Sublette County, who have been so caring and supportive in what has been a very trying time for the family.

We searched all over for this brother. It was during seed, so just about everybody has a story connected to him. Kid Village had walking water and I was filling about 40 gal. of jugs and he just came by and helped me carry it. He seemed just like everyone else out there. I'd have forgotten him if his pic hadn't been passed around the next day.

My heart goes out to his family. While the search was going on, the Sherriff (his dad, i guess) brought two large duffel bags of food to Kid Village. Then they did lunch circle with us. They Om'ed with us. They prayed and ate with us. It's unfortunate it all ended that way.

I talked to his mom, sister and x-girlfriend when they were looking for him. We are still in Pinedale tonight and will send flowers tomorrow. It was a terrible thing that happened. Light a candle for the brother tonight and send good energy to his sprit and family. Peace. Lost&Found

Can someone change the title of this thread? In light of the way things worked out, it's rather tasteless.
