I've been reading a book about these subjects and was wondering if any of you have similar information or discussion. Has anyone here ever "traveled" in their dreams? if so, tell me about it. Can you teach me?

The first part to lucid dreaming/awareness, to me, is realizing you are dreaming. For me personally, I usually realize I'm dreaming at least once before I wake up. But I recommend lying on your back, and also focusing your mind on a thought similar to "I'm Dreaming." If done correctly, that thought will resonate through your dreams and you will repeat it while dreaming.

Now it gets tricky. You must now gain control of the dream. Looking at your hands and counting objects are two good ways to make everything around you clearer. After you've got a steady hold on the dream world, you can now pretty much try to do whatever you want. My first instinct is to fly, but for you it might be traveling to other places.

    Good luck.

P.S. Dream pillows work too. I have one with fresh lavender in it that intensifies dreams and makes them seem much more real.

I often realize i am dreaming, and i like to fly around too. But, sometimes i loose control and even after i realize im dreaming scary shit starts happening.
One time this happened and i tried to wake myself up from the dream and, although extremely difficult, i managed to move my arms while still unconscious, grab the remote and turn on the tv.
after that i fell back into my dream and couldn't move anymore, so i tried to just open my eyes, i tried really hard and eventually my arms worked enough again to open my eyes for me. At that point i was watching tv while still unconscious. it was intense and after a few cycles of this i finally woke up.

Often in my dreams i subconciously realize that I am dreaming, somehow in my dreams my thoughts there tell me its ony a dream and i dont have to worry. But i never fly but travel a lot, but thats probably because i moved around all my life. But its truly very strange to know when you are dreaming ^^
