I've had my dreads in about a month and im a bit concerned about the size and number of them. Basicly everybody I see with dreads seems to have far more dreads and they are much thicker.

I back combed them in and I didn't lose much length (they are about 2ft long) I've read that the shrink back as they lock but i was wondering if theres any increase in girth to accompany that or if I'm destined to have thin locks forever.

    does size matter?

size and number the less number ya got the thicker easch individual 1 will be

letting mine go natural i ended up with 150ish (think started with 75-90 and more n more were born with the 30-40 or so babies now gettin near 200...) many many are thin some super thin and only maybe a bout 10 nice n thick..

but size dont matter each is as its meant to be\

everybody has a different number/size, depending on your hair. My hair is fairly thick, but it naturally came out with a lot of fairly smaller-sized dreads.
