I joined the airforce today

Passed my psychical and got sworn in this afternoon. Im going into a mechanical field and was gonna get shipped off to basic in 3 or 4 months but now i might be leaving in a month which is disappointing cause i was hoping to spend this summer with my buddies.

Shit man, thats intense. Air force is deffently the way to go in the armed forces though. You better party like youve never partied before this month.

 

Yeah I'm guessing you already passed your piss test and I'm not sure if it'll be the same for you, but I didn't have to take another piss test when I went to basic.

 

basic is gonna be in lackland texas. I dont know how much partying ill have to do other than try and get some trip before i leave. Just gotta wait till iamshaman gets some catcus powder up again or i could try my dose connections one more time.

The recruiter was telling me his first four years was just partying. In tech school (basically like college except you get your own dorm) chicks would be making out with each other and they would wrestle in jello or cream corn. So shit sounds pretty wild in the AF. I hope i get stationed in Japan though he was telling me the girls are fucking crazy over there.

Bummer, I was in the Air Force. Never trust a recruiter. The first month won't be that great at tech school and if you are going to tech school in Texas it will suck(they give you an std exam right when you get there because the std's run crazy there with all the horny airmen and women there). But tech school is just like college except you have to be up at 6 in the morning 5 days a week and have 9 hours of class everyday. But the girls do act slutty in tech school. Wear a condom and don't get married while at tech school. Best of luck bro.

My roommate this year was in AF ROTC. I don't know how comparable to tech school that could be, but he managed to balance working his ass off and partying pretty well. I was just pissed because he'd tell these great stories of his time as a smoker but he could never join me.

ROTC gets laughed at by those actually in the military. Recruiters lie, but mine gave me tips on how to get the weed out of my system so i could sign up. He was an alright guy.

I told them i didn't care when i left, and i was on a plane in less than 2 weeks. didn't even have time to clean my room.
PS, when they say random piss tests, they mean it. they wake your ass up early and then you have to wait in line for your morning piss. i hated that. good luck though.

Really i only joined cause i had a buddy that had been in for 2 years and he didnt really have anything bad to say about tech school. But he was in New Jersey too.

God i hope i dont have to get an std examine again that shit hurts like hell. But ill make sure to wrap my tool or hopefully not get drunk enough to bang any skanky chicks that id really have to worry about catching something.

But anyways whats the policy on drinking? They dont care if your underage drinking at the bars on base right? and isnt the beer cheaper there cause thats what my dad was telling me.

My boss at the liquor store was in the AF and he was stationed all over the place. He loved Japan for the girls as well lol. He wasn't a tech though, he was an information analyst who sat there trying to decrypt and intercept messages. Hope you have an awesome time man, and I am glad all is working out for you.

 

you can get court martialed for underage drinking, its still against the law which is dumb. if you are old enough to die for our country you deserve a fucking beer.

I don't really have anything BAD to say about it. It is just not for everyone. You will get a std examine if you have tech school in Texas and if you get caught drinking underage you will get in a lot of trouble. Be smart, have fun and just pay attention. The bad thing about med tech(i think thats what you said you were doing) is that it is really long.. the good thing is that the guy to girl ratio is great for guys. It is not hard to excel in the military. I am sure you will have a good time just don't get caught up in too much of the dumb shit.

PS, one of my uncles got kicked out of japan. they said if he ever stepped off the ship there again he'd be arrested. he caused an awful lot of trouble.

 

Word of advice, Get your head in the right spot, this inst a game that you can just walk away from if you get tired of it. Finding excuses to drinking and partying pre activy duty is only asking for trouble.
This is like going to see the Grateful Dead in concert cause theres acid in the parking lot.
Your going in for a experience, To gain a education and a career that you can use in todays society. And to become a MAN..

most likely not. Id remove all that stuff from your mind asap. its still going to be around when you get home. By then you may forget it ever existed.
