Acid at festivals...

I was wondering if there is acid at pretty much all festivals. I have done acid once and it was cleanest, best trip I've ever had. I don't enjoy jam bands (sorry ppl) and the only reason I would be going is for the wrong reasons. I am in the Southeastern US.

 

depending on the festival, if mostly jam bands are playing you will almost certainly be able to find it, if theres a separate camping area it will be easier to find in there than the concert stage


some people will be sketch, but nothing you cant handle, follow your insticts and have fun

 

Don't go to festivals just to get drugs, its for music fans.

 

this is why most festivals are overun with cops because its become like a travelling circus of drugs. thats just so lame to go to a festival you dont even want to be at just to get drugs. this shit just ruins the vibe for people who really do enjoy the scene and dont want it to be run into the ground. chances are your gonna get ripped off anyway

Well, I cant stand the majority of jam music or folk, but I try to go to the Philadelphia Fok Fest every year.
And if you ask me, it's more a giant party as there are several thousand more people in the camp area than at the stage the majority of the weekend.
That being said, I can have a few beers or smoke and then go have fun watching a few bands play on stage. But folk and jam are just not my kind of music. I dont see why I am ruining any 'vibes' are contributing to police presence by going to what essentially is just an excuse for people to get happy and come together? But whatever

i agree with the others dont hit up a festival just for the drugs unless it really speaks to you. But yes drugs can be found at most festivals, but they can be found elsewhere as well.

Luckily we have a huge underground PsyTrance scene here in North Wales, with outdoor and indoor parties which are more than well suited for the consumption of LSD.
I'm thanking Christ I left Jam Bands behind; PsyTrance and it's related genres take the torch for current day acid raves and festivities.

 

Yeah I went to a festival with this kid once and all he did was stay in his tent and do ketamine and DMT, it was real bummer cause he was talking about how excited he was to see certain bands and I was ready to get down, but he just got carried away and ended up having an awful trip while I was having a great sober time dancing away.

 

relayer, i se where your coming from but at least your going there to get fucked up ad have a good time thats wat the scene should be about but instead too many people look at festivals like the neighborhood dopehouse, just another place to make business transactions which is blasphemy from my point of view. your right however that you dont need to love all the music festies arent really about the music anyway like so many ppl claim thats just a part of it. shit i theres at least one shitty band at everyone i go to. its mor about the scene, thehuge gathering of tons of like minded unique individuals gettin together and enjoyin the good vibes and when snobby fratboy rich kids show up just looking for drugs and acting stupid well to me its like taking garbage truck full of waste and dumping it into a pristine wild mountain pond. that pond was never meant for garbage and neither were these festivals. unless your idea of a good festival is woodstock 99

i'm not sure about the summer, but in September there's Austin City Limits

with: Foo Fighters, Manu Chao, Mars Volta, Tegan & Sara, G. Love & Special Sauce, Galactic, Slightly Stoopid, Xavier Rudd just to name a few

I don't think there's anything wrong with buying and selling drugs at a festival, but it's stupid if you don't even like the bands and just go there to pick up or get rid of shit.

 

I think its all set to sell drugs to support an alternative lifestyle on the road/doin your thing. I don't think it's cool to take advantage of a group of people that tend to buy drugs. At one particular fest this summer I saw so man ghetto kids that didn't even step into the gates where the stages were the whole weekend. They were just standing around selling rolls in the same spot.

 

i think people should share their music and their drugs. if you did that things wouldn't be so pricey and people wouldn't be treating each other like crap just for being somewhere where one person feels they belong more than another.

not chastising anyone : ) but i've been to shows for the music and been treated like a spunion just because i'm in the parking lot stocking up before the show. and i've never forgotten how awful the vibes were with people looking at you like you don't belong somewhere. for people striving to be tolerant and always improve their opened minds...it's strange that people could be so negative.

 

hahaha, I go to shows all the time and get drugs, is easy. I've never been ripped off ever, I've always got good shit for good prices. Some guy sold me an ounze of mushrooms for 100 bucks, and I didn't even ask him, he came to me. Ruins the vibe? Tell me, have you seen or known a person at a show that specifically went there to get drugs? No, if anything, these people going to these shows just for drugs look like you and me. They don't ruin anything. I don't know where you get your opinions, but they are all dead wrong.

 

damn, speaking of festivals.. Im about to kill myself... I shouldnt be typing this, I should be at Rock The Bells right now. I didnt go because like 5 days ago, I misplaced over $300 somewhere in my room that I had just to go to that concert! So i didnt buy a ticket cuz I thought I lost that money. I just found it in a math book like an hour ago, too late to go
