English in High School conspiracy

yo, alright i was pretty fuckin high when i got to my second period class (english 1 honors) after i had smoked a joint before school. we were reading the book Ender's Game and we had a packet or some shit of questions on the book that we were supposed to answer. Now, if you have read Ender's Game, you know that it's a story placed in the future about a kid taken by the army when he turns 6 after being studied his entire life. they isolate him and train him to be a killing machine. he is the top leader and becomes a commander before he's like 8 or some shit. they trick him into whiping out an entire alien threat without him knowing.

So i read this book and i started reading the questions which read somewhat like this:
1)Describe what you would do if the government wanted to take you from your family to serve the military. How would you feel? Would you put the safety of the masses before your own life?

2)Imagine that you are in the battle school, and feel as though you are being isolated. How would you react? What would do?

3) Do you believe that it is wrong for the government to monitor children and the people around them?

Needless to say i was like "Wtf man" and i literally wrote on my paper "i refuse to answer these questions on the basis that it may be used by the government and military in order to acquire information about the publics opinions on military matters."

i aced the assignment which was awesome but i honestly believe that they were tryin to lower the age that they could put kids in the draft, or promote monitoring of private matters and affairs

 

That does sound pretty fucking weird. I wouldn't be too surprised if that was actually more of a "survey" than a school assignment...

 

yeah, because the government has full access to everything that a student does in school. so is it not possible that they were doin a "survey" to determine whether or not they could manipulate the people in the future generations?

 

Enders game is a great book. I've read the series a few times now.

Enders Game by Orson Scott Card is a lot easier to read than the OP.
English is difficult as a second language when not practiced.

of course the military is given info. i got the draft form the day before my 18th birthday. still though to lower the age limit. i cant see it happening anytime soon.

I can tell you one thing, though: if the military/intelligence is seriously interested in something, they will take it, regulations be damned. Be it a child, a document, land, or anything else. If they want it, it will be theirs.

 

You got that right. Homes, personal property, freedoms of all kinds are routinely stolen by the government and/or military officials.

 

cause they're douche bags lol... nah man, but if you opt out, wouldn't that just make the government more aware and interested in your doings?cause i bet only like 15 out of a million students will opt out, and that wouldn't be to hard to observe them and find out what they're doing.

That sounds like perfectly normal curriculum for that book.


I would also reccommend The Worthing Saga by Card.

many classes seem like this..economics, participation in government, health, business courses, english (were reading beowulf at the time kids are thinking about joining the military) math not so much. Phsyics is the best.

Yeah I refused to take economics and government my senior year, my teacher thought I was full of shit until I got out of it and got them credits outside of school. School is just a prison where they make you conform. Hell so is all of society. Try to be youself and be free and see what happens, they lock you up.
