does anyone know of any nice little festivals that are on this year? going to shambala (of course) and secret garden party which is tiiiny this year, and possibly waveform which is pretty new and small, but i'd like to continue this theme.

    any suggestions?

if not, anyone up for a hipforums festival 2009? hehe..
i guess it would be hipfestival 09 really.
anyway i digress, i'm off to bed. night! :)

ooo yeah already planning on going to llama, it's free and a relatively short bus ride from my house. i went last year and it's a lot of fun. not a festival as such just bands and things on the green and the beach. but it's cool! :) babyhead are playing this year too!! *bounces*

aeon and end of the road look great, that's exactly the kind of thing i was looking for thankyou! :D and aeon's vair cheap too, i like it.

If I told you I'd have to kill you- they wouldn't stay that small then heh. Personally I can't deal with huge festies- gimme a couple of thousand at most really, you get to make proper friends, everything's a bit more intimate and family feeling and has a proper festie feel not a '£4 a beer, spend, consume, drop your crap on the floor, consume some more and move on' vibe that you get at big events (even big events that I enjoy and have a *cough* 'hippy' crowd) .

Grassroots, Wiltshire, should be great this year, only 800 people... A little something in Wales in late July I'm looking forward to also... Small World too deserves a mention...

Waveform was good fun last year, not really small though by no stretch of the imagination large but a good atmosphere nonetheless despite the pissup/brewery elements... On a related note; if anyone wants cheap (legit, honest guv) Waveform tickets then PM me, I'll sortyaaaaht, like...

The Angel of the North is 10 on the 22nd of June. They're throwing her party. There'll be cake and face painting and things. Pretty sure there's some music too. Oh, and the first revellers to arrive get goody bags :)

    Llama - Lynton and Lynmouth

good reports, a beautiful and entertaining little festival, a good vibe throughout and even had impromptue entertainment from Keith Allen who was there as part of the audience, found him jiving to Babyhead. Shannon spent the next couple of hours entertaining his little daughter, Lily's baby sister one supposes.
Thought Yop Knuckle were fun as well.
