so, i went camping in this tent recently.

it was ok in regards to size, but one thing that literally burned my ass is the humidity due to the lack of air circulation in the tent. Other than the little hole on the side that allowed a breeze to come in rarely, there was no other viable opening. I could have opened my tent door, but that would just let insects and other bigger creatures in, and leave me as a free meal.

So, i have heard of people simply sleeping "under the starts". What puzzles me is how these people deal with insects and wildlife.

I would also like to experiment with tarps, but are these any better relating to air circulation than the tent i have now?

My camping needs are only related to outdoor stays at a maximum of 5 days and covert camping along the highways when i travel.

I know it is naturally hot down her in texas in the summer, but i dont feel that being completly drenched in sweat while trying to fall asleep on your sleeping bag is good.

    Thanks

There are a ton of great tents out there. Whats your budget? Oh and Zoomie always has good advice as well.
