Im going to be making some weed cakes sometime today or tomorrow

just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on how to make the weed butter cause im only going to be using an 8th and I'm not entirely sure how much water and butter to use...

Im not really up for messin around doing loads stuff to make the butter. (wanna try keep it as simple as poss...)

the method i'll be doing is just boiling the water, butter and weed together for bout 25-30 mins then strain it into a jug or something and leave it in the fridge for a day then use the butter in a cake mix or something

few things i want to know before i do this:

-how much water and butter i use for just an 8th of weed?

    - how long do you reccomend i boil and refregerate the mix?

    - do i just chuck the water, butter and weed in a saucepan and boil or do i have to do it in a specific order?

    - will an 8th be enough to get 2 people fairly stoned and should i grind the weed up before adding to the mix or pick it?

    - and finally its my 1st time making weed cakes so if im doing anything wrong or if what i am going to do is just a complete waste of time and wont get me stoned at all PLEASE let me know so i can just smoke it instead lol.

    Thanks Dude's

you don't boil the hell out of it, you simmer, which is a state of barely boil. melt the butter slowly, add the weed, and simmer. ive never made the stuff, too stinky for our apartment. definitely search it.

I have found that there is a lot of information about Pot Butter out there but I don't recomend using the water. As a chef and food scientist there are several things that you need to know. One weed does not mix with water. The best componets of weed are not absorbed or broken out of weed with water. The good stuff will break out and attach it's self to oils and with alcohol. For example I am currently trying and experment with my twigs and stems. I am putting them in a bottle of flavored vodka and letting them soak. I am looking forward to making a very fun martini very soon. Leave it to a chef to make the most of his product. Use everything and throw nothing away. Anyway back to the butter.

For the amount of weed you want to use I would only use about one stick of salted butter but also a little bit of oil, about two to three table spoons. This will increase the "smoke point" of your pot butter so you can increase the heat a little and not burn the butter in the process. Peanut oil has a very high smoke point but any vegetable oil will help. Anyway. Grind up your weed very fine, feel free to include the stems as well as it will not matter. take this and put it into your butter in a small frying pan. Like and omlet pan. Then increase the heat without creating any vapor or bubbles. When you see that you are loosing THC. Not good. Also don't let it brown to much. Keep stiring the whole time it should take about 10 minuites. Now here is the best part. Take it off of the heat and let it sit for about 20 minuites to half an hour, but don't let it get hard. Pour it through a fine strainer or cheese cloth into a bowl. I personally like to use a good brownie mix and make mini muffins. It will have a different taste, and if you don't like it I like to spread a little raspberry jam on the top. Also, take a little care when making the butter because it will stink to high heaven.

I hope you find this helpful, feel free to ask if you need more help.

    Thanks!

first off, what kind of nugs? is it mids or some good shit? if its an 8th of some alteast beasters it will definately get you and your friend pretty high... if its mids you might as well just smoke it. i would just get a box of brownie mix or somthing from the store that calls for oil. then just grind up your weed and gently heat it in the oil in a pot on the stove for about 20-30 mins. you can then add your pot oil/butter to the mix, you can strain out the solids or leave them in your preference. however i would not reccomend boiling water butter and pot at the same time... i have seen that method before but i find gently heating the pot in either oil or butter alone works well and doesnt make as much of a mess...

    that's called a Green Dragon.

I wouldnt add water if I was making butter. what you may be thinking of is using two separate pots in order to not burn the butter. as long as you dont turn the heat up too high then you should be able to do it.

just simmer the weed with the butter for a couple hours, then strain it and let it coool. then you have weed butter.

I had heard that putting your twigs and such into liquor was called "Green Dragon". I am looking forward to trying it out. I really want some really really green stuff before I try it. I'll start a post and see what people say.
