I think they will. You got a car for 83 bucks ? Cool. But I think you guys have restrictions about fumes comin out the ass there. do they even have real gas in Calfornia anymore ? Good luck with your new car.

    Peace

lol... not a new car. it's my lover's car which he just signed over to me. i still have to pay him about 2 grand for it. it was 83 for the registration of it. now i gotta pay another 80 or so for the smogging.

yeah, they do care about what comes out of the ass of my car. it should pass emissions once i get a new center pipe, but you know... i'm just excited to have the process started!

I had a van that sounded like a friggin chopper. I don't know what was wrong with the muffler, but it was bad. Anyhow, I totally passed emissions in Arizona with the damn thing.

yup. i'm good for it too. i'm not gonna stiff him while he's still paying off the loan on the car. we keep our finances pretty evenly separated. when he has more money than me and he pays for my stuff, i keep a tally. same when i'm working and he's not (that happened for about 6 months, where i supported both of us after he got fired, but i told him i wanted to do that for him, no need to pay me back), we kinda keep a tally of who owes whom. at least in general. i'm not gonna figure it out down to the cent, but because of some of the time he wasn't working, the car price dropped from 3250 to 2k. you know, we work it out! :)

Usually sex and finical agreements don’t do that well. Lol
But I must say my current GF and me are really good with $ deals but it the first for me.

I think emissions is a scam it takes old cars off of the road is hard on poor people who can’t afford new cars.

I share a car with my GF we drove 60 miles to another county to register it to not have to pay money to the emissions program. Our car will pass fine but I just hate to support scams.

well, we're really good at financial stuff together. we hope to one day be in business together, and i think it will work out great, cause we're almost better business partners than relationship partners, lol!

i think it's good to have emissions control... it is better for the environment. and it's not THAT hard to pass it, cause at least here, the car only has to pass emissions for the year it was made. so a 96 car, which is what i have, only has to pass emissions for 1996, not for 08. and since my car was already manufactured to pass cali emissions standards in 96, i'm in the zone. but the nice thing is, after a car is 30 years old here in california, it doesn't have to pass any smog tests. which means our 77 beemer, we can do whatever the hell we want with it. yay!

Here they have done a lot of studies and they conclusions are saying that the emissions program isn’t doing much to help. The amount smog they are reducing from not passing old cars is very small and it is taking a lot of older cars off the road that could run fine for a few more years which means more new car production.

The county we drove our car to in Colorado Spring had emissions for a while but studies said it did do anything to help air quality so they did away with it.

I don’t know I think it is just a scam to generate more money for the state and government agencies. Regulations that generate money.

I am lucky I don’t have to drive much and us my bicycle most of the time.

You'll need to have the exhaust fixed. They run a mirror down the length of the underside of the car to look for bad parts or tampering.

Some cities have waivers for emissions if your financial situation doesn't allow you to fix the vehicle.

yeah, i know. we got a month to do that. we were gonna get it fixed before we moved here and ran out of money. but in another month we'll be done paying on massage school, so we'll (hopefully) have the money to get a new pipe put on. we ordered one and were gonna put it on ourselves, but it's a civic del sol, and the books say it's the same centerpipe as on a regular civic... so we ordered it, and when it came, the damn thing was longer than the fucking car. so it's definitely not. hopefully we can find a shop that bends their own pipe and can make us one to fit. for not too damn much. the part was only 130 bucks, so hopefully we can get it for somewhere around there. if not...

hehe, yeah! :) i'm not too worried. we'll get the pipe fixed (cause it really does need to be fixed, it's SO loud), and i'm sure we'll pass smog. it's a great car and runs well and we run nothing but premium gas in her.

lol, the funny thing is, virginia inspection (we had to get the whole damn car inspected in virginia, it sucked) ran out right before we moved, so we had to get that done... and when we did, we got the pipe to pass by taping it with aluminum tape. how ghetto is that! :)
