I'm a newbie to the world of cacti and am thinking of purchasing some san pedro from a popular supplier... I plan on not eating the cactus straight up, as it seems almost impossible based on what I read. I don't want to do a straight extraction either, as I try to stay away from using dangerous chems. So just a few questions.. What type of preparation would yield the greatest results? Is the tea method (on erowid) a good idea? are there better ones? Also, I have come across info that claims freezing the cactus helps break down the cell walls which allows for easier extraction. Is this true? And lastly, what would be a reccomended starting dose? I plan on buying anywhere from a 12 inch to an 18 incher ( I want to trip hard)...I have seen while doing research that potency varies greatly. On average how many mg of mescaline are in each gram? I have come across many different answers to this Thanks in advance for any replies
Hi Kitch, Eating cactus straight it would indeed be a hard experience, though some peoples taste buds are better than others. Erowid is always a god place to start. Your questions on potency are impossible to answer, potency is affected by and varies so much, not just between for example T.pachanoi and T.peruvianus but between plants within species. Boooshpig
Sorry, I mean eating it raw, ala cactus on the cob. I've not ever done this, though I hear reports of people that do.
