I don't believe the world will collapse without oil, I think it will collapse because of oil. I've never believed in the peak oil hype.

The biggest crock foisted on consumers today are foisted by the energy industry with their mock fears of global warming and a totally new market for new light bulbs. And that of big pharma with people rushing out to vaccinate their girls at eleven for a veneral disease and selling it on the premise that it MAY prevent cancer.

One of the biggest mistakes we allowed was this new digital tv thing. Who gains those air waves and what price are we paying for nothing new as consumers? I am trying to find converter boxes to buy before my coupons expire, funny thing is none of the store in my area seem to ever have any in stock. Anyone remember Colin Powell's son oversaw this fiasco at the same time he was selling us porta potties as WMD.

Bush, Rumsfeld, Powell, Rice, Wolfowitz, not to mention how much Cheneys friends at Haliburton have made, they all lead us into the war with Iraq, and they are pushing us into war with Iran. They are all far richer than they were before. how many of us can even hang on to our mortgages, or put gas in our vehicles?

That's what consumerism has done for us.

 

Supersized meals are thing of the past for most workers, they have to save their money to fuel their cars to get to work.

 

Not true the only thing we were saying was anyone over 35 should be jailed or dead. Didn't happen. Good thing it didn't or you young shit's wouldn't have a clue. Yes many of us sold out, but some of us didn't.

That hold's true for all generations even your's. You have to know what questions to ask, and you have to have enough determination to ask them.

My deleted essay did however involve topics such as "do we really know our neighbours? Will the war against terrorism actually end for it has struck untold fear into the minds of people since 9/11. I know i still wonder when i hear a plane go over head. ALSO how can we live next door to people who hurt and abuse there children, or be friends with someone who wakes up and kills his wife and grandchildren... It was worth reading i am still in the process of rewriting. I am finding time to sit and process hard.
