Yeah, I also assume that. Yet people should know better than call me more than once. I've even disciplined my mother into only calling once, and that took a whole lot of work. If someone called me 7 times in a row, I would kill them.
I have a two call rule. I call twice, with a 15 minute break in between just in case they weren't near their phone the first time (shower, bathroom, etc), and if they don't answer their phone the second time, I may leave a message depending on how important the call was.
and people wonder why i don't own a cell phone...i'd break it if someone ever called that many times..i don't care for the reason, the phone would be out the window
ive called my bf like 8 times ina row before, but thats because i was supposed to wake him up at a certain time and ended up not able to be home then (me waking him up is much nicer than an alarm clock waking him up)... tahts about the only scenario in which id call crazily
Wow, 16 would be enough to send Daniel packing for at least a couple of days. That's awfully suffocating. I called him three times this morning because I wanted him to bring me a shirt from home and he wasn't there, so when I finally got ahold of him, he was a little irritated, lol. But I was having a very bad morning and was feeling rather obsessive about everything, so it's a good thing it seems he understood that.
I don't really have excuses that would require people to call me over and over and over again. If you call me I'll answer. If I don't a message will usually suffice. Penny. 16 is NUTS. Don't do that too often cause as much as he loves it it'll wear on him in the long run.
I hardly ever call guys that I date. I called my best friend about 6 times in a row but that was because my grandfather had died and I needed someone to talk to.
He was asleep, turns out.. so I did good, I woke him! That was the plan.. I wouldn't do that otherwise!
I read this post and laughed a little. I thought I was bad calling my boyfriend like four or five times over the course of the entire 12 hour day. 16 in about fifteen minutes? You are a dedicated person I stop the second I feel obnoxious.
People need their own space and get irritated when it's disrupted and they're not trusted. Either give them the respect and trust them, or don't, but the latter will destroy things sooner. When with a lady, I treat her like a goddess, with passion, intrigue, and romance, but I need my own space too. Trust is very important, it's the base of a good relationship, but must be earned, and annoying them with 16 phone calls or looking for constant attention don't cut it. And if he looks at another girl, don't get crazy, he's with you right? Guys like the human form, so let him look... you'll reap the benefits later. Oh yeah!!! Peace everyone
Wow, that's a little much considering you were only waiting fifteen minutes past the time you expected him. . . I usually call twice, and if the person I'm calling doesn't pick up I let it go. There's a little feature on phones that allows you to see missed calls, and also voice mail. He can always call back.
sometimes i just don't feel like answering the phone. so i turn it off. if someone wants to make themselves insane with the redial button, i'm not going to get involved.
the only time i ever did that to dave was on 9/11. he was sleeping and i knew he wasn't going to answer the phone. so i kept calling until he got really pissed off and answered.
just remember...boys like to chase a little bit. Give him an opportunity to do so and he might not be late in the future.
Well, it was an hour past the time I expected him to CALL.. but I did that to wake-him, cause I had a feeling he just went back to sleep and kinda had to be checked out of my dorms by a certain time (he came to help me move out) and was worried we'd miss the checkout time if I let him sleep.. and kinda was dependent on him for that..
LOL!! Once I had something I really needed to tell my friend (and her phone is always lost somewhere, so you NEED to call her 10 times before she hears it) and I called her like 5 times in a row So that's my record, and she ended up being in the shower, so she thought it was funny that I had been trying to hard to get her to pick up.
That's totally fair enough. I panic if I have lots of missed calls, especially if they're from an unknown number coz I get paranoid and start thinking something bad has happened. So far it's just been stupidly persistant telesales people though.
