what's the difference between a farmer shooting a deer to control the population. i think the vast majority of people who defend baby seals wouldn't give a rat's ass about non-cute animals. and speaking of rats, what about rodents in your house. you think your traps are fucking painless? hard fact of life is that things are giong to die. don't defend animals just because they are cute. it's stupid and a waste of time. defend the ugly and endangered.

they'll probably get seasick
they'll probably go blind
they're probably on drugs

The difference is that lions and bears need to kill other animals and eat their flesh to survive; humans do not. I always tell people, "the day you can chase down a cow, pig, or chicken, kill him or her with your bare hands and teeth, and eat his or her flesh raw, the way meat-eating animals in nature do, give me a call." There's nothing "natural" about taking a club and bashing an animal upside the head with it.
