No. The very idea requires you to judge. When you judge, you loose sight of the totality of what God is. The door to the Kingdom closes. To declare something scared, you must declare something else profane. When you do so, you tear God in half. Those who see only form will live their lives blind to the fact that its ALL the same substance. Sacred is a concept. It has no physical reality. x
I think you'd have to say either nothing is sacred or everything is sacred. Personally, I think it might be interesting to look at where the idea that everything is sacred might lead. But I guess you'd have to have actual experience of seeing/feeling everything as sacred - otherwise it's just more puff.....as xexon says just another concept. The sacredness of everything has to be experienced directly. Allen Ginsberg expresses something of what I mean in his poem 'footnote to howl'.
OR! you could say both and not care, but rather watch yourself speaking and know that it doesnt matter what your thoughts think
I'm not so sure that it doesn't matter, because if everything is sacred, thought is sacred too. Also it might affect the way we look at and treat the world around us and other beings if we think everything is sacred. A person with this belief/attitude or whatever might think 'ah, this world is sacred so I'd better treat it with care' A person who thinks 'nothing is sacred' may well exhibit the tendency not really to give a fuck about much at all other then their own satisfactions as they see it. Just a thought.....
That's not what I meant Cass. But I have a feeling you knew that anyway  Still, even if that were the case, could it really be any different? And therefor does it actually matter? What's sacred to one is trash to another, and in the big picture, it seems that the universe is both sacred and trash entirely.
Perhaps in some people's big picture the universe seems like trash. Personally I think they are beings who have a long way to go before they see reality. But of course, that's only my personal take on things. I think it matters how we label things because it has an effect on the general bias of our thinking. To me it seems that although this isn't what xexon meant I know, to some saying 'nothing is sacred' is very much akin to a kind of materialistic attitude. We are simply glorified apes, and 'sacredness' simply something dreamed up by our epi-phenomenal consciousness. My view is that there is a power much higher then us, irrspective of what we believe or construct in our minds. I'd have to say that it is is the source of sacredness..... It lights up the universe with its own inner light. If yo get a glimpse of the universe thus lit up, it might well appear sacred.
In God consciousness, there is no individual mind with which to judge anything with. Pure observation. No mental movement. x
My thoughts exactly. I've had some experiences of oneness and deep peace, which I could put the words "sacred" to very easily, but it's not out of a sense of duality. We're here... we have bodies... we use words... It's not so important that we use them, it's all about what we make them mean, or rather the meaning that we hold as we use them.
First of all, there are only THREE souls (whatever you wanna name it) who can experience God consciousness. I'm speaking about TRUE God consciousness as in actually BEING one of the three. God the Father, The Eternal Son, and The Holy Spirit. God the Father fucked off btw which means there's only one true God at the moment. I believe what your trying to describe is an advanced Christ consciousness. There are 7 creator sons, all stemming from the Eternal son, I mean DIRECT sons. Each of these 7 sons have like 100,000 DIRECT sons each, and the line follows on like that. Even the 7 Creator sons cannot fully experience God consciousness. Everyone can reach Christ's state, but NO ONE can reach God's. Well, maybe one but that's an exception to the rule. Maybe everyone will get to experience their own "God" consciousness, but not the original's.:cheers2:
And Xexon, I am in no way trying to start an argument with you, like you I do not wish to be held down by emotional attatchments in postings like these. If I ever respond in a way that seems like I am antagonizing, it is only because I am correcting something. Much respect to you.
You seem to be quite attached to these concepts of 'Creator Sons' and numbers. All of these words that we use to label that which cannot be labeled are there merely to point to the truth, not try to describe it. When one is consciously aware, words such as Consciousness, Oneness, and God become obsolete, unnecessary, so therefore I think we should remain undetached to the intricate imagery and mental concepts associated with that which is beyond the mind. This way, the ego is avoided altogether.
Well the use of the lower mind is no doubt a requirement to living in a bodily host. Consciousness, at this point in existance for all of us, obviously has a body and lower mind feeding off of it, and it needs discrimination in order to thrive. However there is a difference between judging "This person is wonderful/This person is evil" and "This cup of tea will give me health/This tube of cyanide will end my life". Discrimination is not detrimental to spirituality so long as it doesnt have an origin in the lower self, but rather serves the purpose of aiding or protecting the higher Self. It's just insane to think that both kinds of lower mental activity are related, one is harmful to spiritual growth and the other is common sense, ingrained into our collective minds by hundreds of thousands of years of human experimentation and attempts at survival, wouldn't you agree Cass? If the source of singular consciousness can look at itself, a big world of mirrors opens up. God Bless -
Wether you put " " around the word God or not, that makes absolutley no sense. The original implies a concept of time, and I thought it was common knowledge these days that time is an illusion? Maybe not. God Bless -
Except that is not true with human beings as of this moment. We're trying to REACH that state, I'm not sure if many will make it.
Time is not an illusion. Time, however, is soon going to cease to exist, and eternity will take it's place. Time is real, but it'll soon end.
hello blackened spouting muddy water now back your claims up with something other than what you think is personal intuition.
If you're consciously aware that you are trying to REACH the state of conscious awareness then you've already REACHED it. Our entire past and future only exists now as presently arising thoughts, and the fictional character of 'You' and the fictional character of 'Me' arise from that. When you let go of past and future, when you live in the Now, the ego has no past to create an identity out of, and no future to strive towards. There is only a silent stillness that is full with emptiness.
