    My ideal wedding...

    is not having one...

I, personally, probably won't ever get married... Though if by some strange cosmic force I did, I'd go elope...me and the victim, just the two of use, no dress, no flowers, no nothing..just us...

I'm struggling with the same thing sarahrei! I'm getting married next year, I have a fiance and yeah, that's all we have planned so far. :p

It'll be difficult because my family and lots of my friends live in Finland, but we live in England and so does my fiance's family, and I dunno how realistic it is to expect everyone to come.. So I suppose we'll just end up having a really small wedding.. somewhere outside, there's this one spot by the river that we have in mind.. it's very pretty in the summer, gorgeous garden. So maybe we'll have like a picnic type of wedding. Haha I really dunno... I'm mostly relying on a friend of mine to help me with the planning, she's very good at this type of stuff whereas I'm just completely lost, hahah. Anyhow, let us know how your planning goes!! And share some tips. Good luck :D

Thanks everyone, I was surprised how many answers that I got :)

I want a really super simple dress, and I want it CHEAP, no flowers, they are way prettier in the ground.

I would love to get married outside, but we've found finding a location hard.

So far, the only thing that I know is that my dress is going to be gold and blue lol

Eloping doesn't necessarily mean a couple has to miss out on the fun of wedding gifts! The couple's parents, other relatives or friends can still choose to host a reception for them upon their return. They can even still register for gifts and be within the confines of good taste and etiquette. Jumping the broom at a rainbow gathering would be outside and cheap. It's traditional to give your wedding guests a favor by which to remember the day. Some have given candles, cameras, ect. Make sure the color of your vail matches that of your dress. i plan on having the reception at a hotel, my cousin did that and they did a superb job and theres one hotel here (the one she used) thats just freakin gorgeous. buffet with really good food, good music, lots of fun n stuff. the ceremony im not too worried about, though i think itd be cute to take traditional vows and tweak them a little to suit us better
but i also have many years to plan, i dont even have a ring on my finger :D

I had a rooftop wedding and reception. Choose something that you like. That is the most important thing. IF you aren't happy with the location or aspects of the planning change them. But I found once I had the location that we both loved everything else seemed to fall into place fairly easily. There where a couple of problems but I just rolled with it and didn't get overly upset and it worked out great.

I don't know. I never had many fantasies as to my wedding. I have no idea how I'd want it to be. Frankly speaking I don't care much... I just want to be with the person I'll be in love with... and not having to invite people just for them to give us money - that's what weddings are reduced to here where I live. You're invited to a wedding, you just have to show up and bring money...
