So I havent smoked weed in a while and I recently began working out at a local gym, and I want to continue with this work out regimen to get into shape and stay that way. If I smoke a few times a week, will that really affect or negate the results of my workouts? Is it better not to all together, or would I be able to like once a week or something? Do any of you guys smoke and also exercise?
umm YEAH!!!! All the time! I used to get high and then workout ... you'll be fine...it may be hard on your cardio, but that's about it.
dont think it will effect u much unless you are high at the moment working out. when i smoke i get really weak so i wouldnt be able to lift any weights
Yeah seriously, don't lift after you get high. I made the mistake once when I went to lift with my football team, and I couldn't do shit. It felt like it was taking forever too.
I don't get really weak high. Working out high is awesome, don't listen to them. If you aren't high when you workout then it won't affect you at all. Also to stay in shape just make sure to not over do it on the munchies. My job is lifting heavy cases of beer, and I haven't gone to work sober for too long to remember. Weed really works with just about everything
Lifting heavy cases of beer is nothing compared to doing power exercises like hang cleans and power cleans though. I'm able to lift shit when I'm high, and in no way am I weak. Just for some reason working out high is a struggle. Cardio isn't really though.
I lift alot for football, and Im one of the most dedicated hard workers on the team. Smoking doesnt effect my workouts at all for some reason I always have intensity going into a workout all the way to the end. Ill either do a upper or lower body. squat, deadlift, bench, power clean just the basics then onto other shit whatever the workout for the day is. But yea I been smoking 6 months or so now and it hasnt effected me working out in anyway, but everyone is different. id say you dont have much to worry about though.
Weed can be a strong unmotivator. It might make working out impossibly unpleasant and boring, or you might find it even funner. Try it out once.
I like working out when I'm high too. I don't power lift or anything, just bench press, curls, triceps, lat pull down and ab excercises. Upper body is the shit when you're high; everything else is meh.
