You know, the social exchange of emotion. Just as an expirement and to try and fully understand vibing(plus I was roasted completely) I went throughout the day today trying to consciously feel the vibe. Noticing the subtle nuances in peoples facial expression, vocal tonality and body language. 2 interaction's really helped. In one interaction I felt an unbelievably positive and energetic vibe. To test the waters I tried to change the vibe into a negative one. I threw out something stupid, I think I said something about it sucking being stuck here while my cousin is on vacation having fun. Didn't work the vibe was still very awesome although one of my frienfs became less animated than he was before. I then started bitching about work and the vibe began to change. I started feeling the vibe turn negative and it revolved around me. Both of my friends very unreactive and kinda becoming uninterested. Interesting. I started feeling wierd so I stopped and let it be fun again. The second one was a great one. It was one on one with one of my girls and the vibe was a sad one. She had gotten laid off right before the 4th and she was still feeling the effects. Closed body language, somber tone. I thought changing the vibe would be hard but, it was actually pretty easy. As soon as I got a smile the vibe completely shifted. She opened her body language and started becoming more reactive to what I said. It wasn't 100% positive by any means but, it actully felt good. Interesting. What does it all mean? Fuck if I know but, it kept me entertained all day.
i dont know, im pretty good at reading people...knowing what can be said and what probably shouldnt be said around people...i love to make the most downtrodden looking individual chuckle...im a pretty charismatic person all in all...i can make a room full of people laugh or cry on a whim...i use my powers for good though
The onyl vibe I seem to get from the majority of people is "Stupid". I tend to work with the public however so its natural.
I didn't want to go into deeper exlpanation but, what I was doing was noting the emotional domino and disecting it. When someone says something negative, they ping wierd emotions into the vibe. People have a pang of disgust which becomes noticable(disgusted facial expression) and the social violator will have a pang of embarssment someone'll have a pang of pity and so on and so forth. Basic concept made complicated for the sake of learning.
I just noticed that my explanation might be hard to understand. Here's an explanation of the explanation. Bare with me folks, I'm a little high. Inwardly, the vibe is felt as emotional pangs. But outwardly, the vibe is a constant ping and pong of subtle indicators in our delivery that reveal our feelings, as well as induce feelings in other people.
I second that.... I take phone calls in a calling center. Some of the most ignorant people I have ever spoken to have been while I've worked there... it is for TV service, so go figure.
I like vibing with people. I won't intentionally set a negative mood to an interaction, and I don't really see the point in doing so even for an experiment. but it's always really awesome when I meet someone and vibe really well with them - which has been happening a fair bit this past week. on the flip side though, some people I don't vibe so well with, but I'm glad I respect myself enough now that I won't bother with such people for long.
welcome to the world of energy. it's all around us, in us, IS us. we react to it constantly all day every day. and yet most people are unaware of its vibrational existence. but it's there, it's real, and working with it can and will change the way you view things ever again. and now i sound like i belong in "the matrix" movie. but yeah... i totally get what you're talking about hyphy
i didn't say it WAS the matrix! i just realized after typing it all that the way i phrased it sounded WAY like the matrix. but i was too lazy to retype it all.
Touche. But that's how it felt seeing every social move being done. It was like seeing the social matrix. I knew what was gonna happen before it did, for the most part. Yadadasaid.
